Btw, if anyone’s interested, I found a really well done and in-depth retrospective series of videos on the original Sly trilogy on youtube. The humor’s also pretty good, too. They’re long (Sly 3 alone is almost two hours), but I highly recommend watching them!

I just noticed one big similarity in Sly 3:

Bentley: gets knocked out of his chair and made vulnerable in front of chapter villain

Murray @ Don Octavio: That’s it! I’ll floss my teeth with your spine!

Penelope @ Captain Lefwee: No one touches that turtle but me!

Both boss fights end up starting the same way. Granted Lefwee didn’t cause the second time, but it’s still sort of a re-used situation. And that’s with Penelope already getting captured twice in back-to-back chapters which also feature nearly identical villains (General Tsao and Captain Lefwee.)

I love Sly 3, but goddamn does it have some glaring issues.
