this week i discussed on the music editors meeting what i love about #jungle. it’s paradox asynchronity, this mechanism translates the listener from reality to trancescendence. though no way jungle, one of my alltime favs exercises this par exellence (add: albeit by the mechanism of combining several seemingly independent elements, whily #jungle hold asynchronity within one element - the ryhthm): SLAM’s major hit “lifetimes” (2001) with it’s swaying bass. “lifetimes” for a whole life .(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLo3aisdiuQ)
