(Just wanted to imagine what it’d look like if Mel took a draconic form in front of Lazuli. I guess it’d be more voidy and nightmarish in game cause of the Fallen Aasimar of the Awful Deep thing, but let’s just say that Mel could also be related to a golden dragon who was also Pelor’s favorite so… 👀 I wanted to try a fairytale/medieval vibe here, kinda happy with how it turned out! I feel this adds some extra tension and mechanical interest to shields - having to buy new ones every so often, and can add another layer to dungeon crawling. Do you carry on with a nearly broken shield? Or go back to get a new one?
