Um both ? Their true physical form is inside of four's skull and it's the little buggy wuggy thing. When they split (sci fi nonsense) they're like four but still a bit off. They have four eyes 🙂‍↕️ they're a little smaller than the actual four and they have pointy teeth. Their skin is pale blue/green/red/purple respectively because of course it is. Their hair quality is also worse than four's (not that important but I thought it would be fun to mention). The splitting process is very painful for four (not for the colours tho lol rip) and at first leaves him very disoriented as his poor brain has to process 4x the amount of memories. He gets more used to it though and it comes in handy!
