Sunflower season is coming and they are one of my favorite still life subjects. Sunflowers are like a honeycomb of flowery treasure. From a distance they create gorgeous fields popping with yellow. And close up they expose a beautifully intricate world filled with texture and brightness. This particular one was taken in a garden in Missouri. I hope your days are filled with them.

I lived a good portion of my life in Santa Monica... And it’s still one of my favorite cities in the world.
