Switch, which already operates more than 2 million square feet of data center space near Decatur Boulevard and the 215 Beltway, won approval for a 56,800-square-foot data center on nine acres near Warm Springs Road, adjacent to its existing Core Campus — the largest cluster of data center space in Southern Nevada.

The company also sought a waiver that would allow it to not plant trees along the property perimeter and building parking lot — a requirement set by a county ordinance to combat the urban heat island effect that leads to extreme heat.

Obviously, there is no lack of water resources in southern Nevada, especially in the Las Vegas valley.

THE EARLY hours of January 6, 2026, two 911 callers near Ypsilanti, Michigan, reported a white van driving erratically.
