But it's easier to bury

Link shrugged. He didn’t know about cool. He’d certainly never really felt cool because of his name. He knelt and grabbed one side of the wardrobe as Ravio walked over.

Seeing as his hands were full when Ravio asked his question, he just sort of blinked at him for a moment. Then he slowly nodded, trying to keep his face blank. He wasn’t very good at lying.

The wardrobe didn’t seem extremely heavy or anything, so he guessed it was possible. They lifted it up together without too much struggle, at least.

“Well,” Ravio said, brushing his hands off after they put the wardrobe back into it’s place. “I mean, weirder things have probably happened.” Maybe an Earthquake? Did Stella City get Earthquakes? He hoped not. He didn’t think this building would do too well with a bunch of shaking.

Ravio’s only wished on... Oh, just about every single star he’s seen, falling or not. You know, the simple things; he wishes he had more strength to help out Lorule, he wishes the triforce would come back, he wishes Hilda could see through someone’s manipulation.

the city was so bright. it was much different than what he was used to, the difference in colors being the least of his worries in the long run. it was safe to say that the thief was confused despite the letter from the…sheep? nevertheless, he’d decided to do what he did best and explore.

Titus probably sure was a sight to see out on the streets of the otherwise innocent and lively streets: he was visibly worried, visibly tired, visibly dirty, and…visibly bleeding. the wound on his shoulder had opened back up and while he would normally not worry about it much, it hurt and he was beginning to attract attention.

“Hey. You know where I can get bandages?”

asking a random stranger was the best way to get information…right?

It feels like everyday in this city is an adventure, and Ravio still doesn’t exactly know how to feel about that.

There was something new everyday that seemed to happen, and today his surprise was a bleeding stranger.

“You’re.. You’re bleeding!” Ravio said, as if the stranger wasn’t already aware of this. Of course he was aware of this, that’s why he asked for bandages. Internally, Ravio smacked himself.

Link nodded then disappeared into the room for a moment. He grabbed the sign he was carving from it’s place on his desk and walked back over to show it to Ravio. So far, he’d only gotten his name scratched out. But his name was on there. Reading Link clear as day.

He tapped the sign then pointed to himself. Then he set it aside and walked over to the wardrobe. Pointing at it, then at Ravio, he signed Help? It was rather heavy and he’d appreciate the help in pushing it back up into it’s place.

Oh man. Oh geez. Of course his name was Link.

 “Ah... Oh. Link! Cool name.” he says, like he totally couldn’t have already guessed that. Well, he did wake up here randomly one day. Stranger things, he supposes.

Ravio tips his head slightly as Link ventures back into the room, and blinks when he asks for his help. Right, that thing made a loud noise when it fell-- of course it would be heavy.

 “Oh, sure! Yeah, buddy, no problem.” he walks over and stands by it, trying to figure out where would be the best area to grab it by.

OH. He shouldn’t have been surprised someone heard it. It was quite a loud bang after all. Link shuffled his feet for a moment, feeling a bit sheepish. Stepping aside so the other could see into the room, he pointed to the wardrobe.

I knocked it over. Was the only explanation he was honestly going to give. He wasn’t about to tell some stranger that he was jumping on his bed while giggling like a child. The Zoras might not have cared, but they had known him for over 100 years, apparently. He’d just met this guy.

“...”

Ravio was kind of at a loss for words. Maybe he was moving furniture around or something? A wardrobe didn’t exactly seem like an easy thing to knock down, but...

Well. He wasn’t about to question it.

“Well, I’m glad that’s all it was, then. I was ‘fraid I was about to come down and see some sort of crime scene!” he chuckles, awkwardly, still a bit shaken up by the sight of him.

OK. Link KNEW jumping on the bed was something he shouldn’t be doing. He was pretty sure he popped one of the water beds in the inn in the zora domain at one point. Plus he was 117 years old. He should know better than to jump on beds.

So when he fell off and subsequently knocked the wardrobe over….well he had no one to blame but himself. He was in the middle of pushing the wardrobe back up and into it’s place when someone knocked on his door. Jumping, he nearly dropped the wardrobe again.

Setting it down, he walked over to the door. Pulling it open, he tilted his head and signed with one hand. 

Can I help you?

Of all the faces to see when the door opens, he didn’t expect to see that one.

A million things go through his mind, all at once. Like crap, why didn’t I grab my hood, and oh wait, he never saw me without my hood and it takes a good few seconds of his brain doing overtime before he realizes there isn’t a single hint of recognition in the other’s eyes.

And then, as he looks closer, he realizes something’s a little... Off. Different than what he expected. Not quite so similar to what he sees when he looks in the mirror.

So maybe he’s mistaken, but that’s uncanny.

He’s so busy staring at the other’s face he almost doesn’t notice his hands. Way to be totally weird, Ravio. 

Ravio hadn’t been in the city for very long. Maybe a week, tops, although he never was very good at keeping track of time.

He hadn’t really met too many people, at least not yet - still a little bit too scared to go out and really explore this new world, he’d basically limited himself to his tiny apartment. For the time being. He knew he couldn’t just stay in here forever, though.

And as if his thoughts were heard to give him the motivation he needed but not necessarily wanted, there was quite possibly the loudest crash he had ever heard in his entire life from underneath his floor.

Ravio was aware that this wasn’t, maybe, the most structurally sound building. Definitely not sound-proof, with walls as thin as they were, but still - to hear a noise so loud from directly under him? He was pretty sure people don’t usually have problems with their downstairs neighbors.

Slowly, he comes to the decision that he probably should go check on the person below... Just in case. He makes his way out of his room and down, praying to whoever might be up there that he doesn’t walk in on some sort of crime scene.

Okay, so this really sucks.

Ravio still really wasn’t sure how he managed to do it in the first place. Maybe the tree was sentient and out to get him. Or maybe, you know, he just wasn’t paying attention. That was probably more likely.

But whatever caused it, what happened was the real problem. He guessed it had to have been a fairly low hanging branch that he walked near, because one second he was just trying to make his way across the city and the next he was being half-strangled by his scarf. After managing to untangle it from around his neck so he didn’t die, he attempts to pull it off the tree branch it was snagged on.

After a few seconds of futile tugging his hand slips, and the tree branch snaps back up and catapults his scarf further up into the tree like some sort of life ruining slingshot.

And he’s just left standing there, staring at the scarf in despair, when finally someone comes into his vision.

Ravio had to say, the living situation he was given didn’t bother him too much.

Up until he arrived in the city, he had just been - what, crashing in that hero’s house? Mostly on the floor, too, since he had gotten rid of the bed to make room for his shop stuff. A far cry from the mostly comfortable life he had near the castle in Lorule, but not one that was all that missed.

It was more the, er, inhabitants of the complex that worried him sometimes.

But still, when the guy entering the building just in front of him dropped his wallet, what was he supposed to do? Just leave it there?
