Me and my future tumblr girlfriend in the hotel we scammed an old man into getting us (oh a girl can dream)
"It's the simple things that give my heart its wings, like fishin' on a sunny day..."
Touched by You
I would bleed for your lips.
I know I would feel love
if I just felt them burning against mine.
I know I’d feel tears in my eyes.
Not a day would go by
that you wouldn’t let me feel them—
to let me know.
I’ve seen your eyes a hundred times,
and I want to see them a lifetime more.
I see the ache in them,
the knowing I’m your certainty.
I want to fade into your body like a ghost
when you see me that way.
The walks after work,
just to hear about your day,
and the soft accent that comes
when you talk to me—
I would love you for just that alone,
to spend that time meaningfully.
You bring meaning into everything you give me,
and I have been touched
by something only you have.

Ron Howard, with his 1970 Volkswagen Bug. Howard purchased the car new in 1970 at age 16---it was his first car. He drove the VW until (around) 1976 when he got rid of it. A few years ago, Howard's brother-in-law found it in Redding, California--where Howard has a lot of relatives. The person who had it was using it to deliver eggs--and it still had Ron Howard's college sticker on it. Howard's brother-in-law repurchased it for him. He replaced the engine and shipped it back to Howard. Today, Howard drives it regularly and says it is the only car he has ever loved. He credits his father for giving him the common sense as a teenager with money-- and buying a Volkswagen as opposed to something like a Corvette.
