In addition to the Nike Jordan 'Legend Blue' XIs that Nike will launch this Saturday December 20th, you can add one more essential to your wishlist for this week and the 2014 Holiday season #rastasneakergeeks. Nike surprised us all with a new pair of amazing camouflage jogging pants just added to their infamous launch calendar. Commonly referred to as "joggers" these new additions to the Nike Tech Fleece line will be launching tomorrow Friday December 19th at 8 AM EST (see link for details including style code and official colorway). Why the fuss over $120 pants? These are not just pants Rasta! First and foremost they are tech fleece, which is an amazing climate control performance technology Nike invented specifically for athletes and two... it's camouflage! Joggers have become an increasingly popular way to show of your kicks casually without having to cuff or pin-roll the bottom of your pants. They feature a fitted ankle made with material that normally differs from that used on the rest of the garment; similar in function to the way many sweatshirts/hoodies have fitted material at the wrist.  In short, no more cuffing, rubber-banding (like you did your Fubu jeans in 1998) or constantly tucking your jeans behind the tongue of your sneaker like I did. Fitted ankles prevent your pants from dragging in the water, mud or grass like slacks and jeans. Yes, there are skinny jeans, but not all people should or can wear them... let's leave it at that.

Nike Sportswear has perfected their Tech Fleece joggers by balancing light weight materials with strong, durable ones that you come to expect from Nike brand.  These pants breath well and this stylish new camo print is perfect to go with sneakers or boots, neutral or loud colors, warm or cold weather. I currently own two pair of 2014 Nike Tech Fleece joggers and while I love working out in them, based on the price tag I prefer to rock them to casual events instead of wearing jeans. For example, my family recent returned from a three-day adventure at Disneyland Resort and I wore the heather grey and black colorways everyday. I was extremely comfortable and despite some heavy showers remained surprisingly dry at days end. I look forward to copping the camo joggers tomorrow and immediately rocking them. As usual you'll have to move quickly at launch because Nike Tech Fleece joggers have a history of selling out very quickly.

This is a MUST cop (how many times have I written that since starting this blog, lol) sneaker for my personal collection. No... really, this time it's serious. I was unable to get these when they came out back in the late 1990s due to financial constraints. My mom worked 3 jobs at one time in order to provide a middle-class lifestyle for myself. At the time I guesstimate MSRP to have been $110-120.00 pre-tax. But, nonetheless they were not in our budget and I spent most of 8th grade envying anyone who was able to cop. Perhaps this is when the sneaker obsession began... nah!

This one-piece silhouette and OG colorway are phenomenal work late in sneaker season for Nike Air Jordan brand considering all the goodies we still have to look forward to this Fall ans Spring 2015. Granted, there is a denim/Infrared Nike Airmax 90 also launching this weekend which may draw my attention (and my dollars) away from this Jordan 14 on Nike.com but I have been lucky attaining Jordan kicks from other online retailers as of late so I am optimistic I will cop both sneakers this launch weekend and be a very happy RastaSneakerGeek.

This Nike SB low model, originally slated to drop solely (pun intended) in China, is coming to the U.S. sooner than you think. How about this Saturday! I am falling more in love with the SB low model this year and plan to make this the second addition to my personal collection. Sorry fellas, these kicks are not for resale if I am lucky enough to grab a pair. Why?

The pictures don’t do the two-tone grey suede justice, highlighted with dark red accents and an inner lining that is subtle but necessary. Finally, the embossed dual-layer gold Nike swoosh on each side panel really set the shoes off and complete the Beijing street theme.

Dunks were originally a basketball shoe, which is why I will always LOVE the High model as a historian. But, the smokey and charcoal textured suede scream “wear me with jogger pants this Fall season!”
