theres this one moment in E.B.E, where theres a scene of Scully pouring herself coffee in the office and then adding some sugar and its such a small thing but it stands out to me bc theres a limited window of the show where she allows herself treats, or the writing allows her to indulge herself, and so its nice to see

yes exactly!! I definitely think it was to do with her cancer scare that she wouldve started to move away from it. it makes me think about how the writing slowly strips her of agency with certain things and in this case also her indulgences bc of this cancer that happened as a result of violating her agency in the abduction. Also her entire taste for that sort of 'health food' from the start, as you mention with the deleted scene, I think has to do w the 90s fatphobia/diet culture, as @pearlofthewoods @mulders-slutty-black-turtleneck and @onehandkilling mentioned

Yes you have a point! I should have clarified what I meant was re the initial agency/autonomy violation in her abduction, we then see the consequences of it when she gets the cancer, and essentially like. i was saying her more conscientiously choosing health food comes out of that experience which is itself coming out as a side effect of the abduction. she just goes through a lot

i really like what you said about her always trying to have control and ofc hiding her vulnerability and how that relates to gender and her position yes absolutely

my favorite part of saw x was definitely john kramer doodling his next trap in his notebook after his fake surgery and then thinking you know what. maybe i'll turn my life around actually maybe the torture business isn't for anymore i've changed i've healed i've gone on a journey. and ripping out the page like he's anne hathaway at the end of the devil wears prada throwing her phone in the fountain

Watching The X-Files is a horrible emotional rollercoaster. Not because of any plot reasons, but because you get attached to Mulder's beautiful fluffy hair and then they cut it off and he looks like a baby duck but then, mercifully, time passes and you think his fluffy hair is back! Until well... no. I shan't say. It's too painful.

we need to all get angrier about ableism. we all need to be more activly aware of it and against it

why is being on time so important for every job? why dont they just care about what you get done? why is a little bit of contibution seen as worse than you not being there? why is it all about conformity?

why is being on pace so important for every study program? why do they care about complicated assignments and scores and deadlines and limited amount of attempts? if you display skill they should let you pass no?

why is everything about climbing over arbitrary bariers rather than just learning and contributing? how many people aren't disables untill authority tells them that theyre not allowed to be tired, that theyre not allwed to take it slow? that they cant sleep in even if it's what they need? how many people could contribute to our world beutifully if it werent for unnecesery barriers to entry at every job and school? why do people have to be "good enough?" isn't every contributiom valuable? dont we all deserve our place and our voice?
