The second (and my personal favorite) album from one of the bands that meant the most to me at the time of its release, Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be by Michigan metalcore outfit We Came As Romans. The hype sticker on this one says grey splatter, but it’s actually black looks really nice! My favorite tracks are What I Wished I Never Had, A War Inside and Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be.

If you know me, you know this is the big one – the soundtrack to my most played video game of all time, MapleStory. From my early days slaying snails and slimes in Windia (RIP) to Henehoeing and doing boss runs with my guilds in Bera, I’ve easily spent thousands of hours listening to these tracks on loop throughout my life. While I’m not a big fan of what the game has become over the years, a shameless money sink, it’ll always be a direct line to my childhood nostalgia. Pressed across seven multicolored discs, each representing different locations in the game as well as music from various in-game events. Included is a numbered full color art book with the track listing and information about the game, a set of corrected center labels (discs 5 and 6 had their labels misprinted, I’m just not brave enough to reapply the new ones) and some decorative maple leaves all of which is housed in a premium box with gold foiling. This isn’t just a very rare box set of one of the most beloved MMORPGs of all time, it’s one of my most prized possessions.
