I'm on level fifteen of pure bloody exhaustion from touring the world, being a dad, and doomscrolling on TikTok. Which, for some reason, most of my For You page is filled with thirst edits of me or my bandmates, and that's all fine until the fanbase realizes that I've actually seen some of the weird things they say and attempt to talk in code in the comments section. So that brings me to: what's the weirdest thing you've seen on TikTok? Bonus points if it's of yourself, but anything will do. @limelightblvdstarters

why am i picturing this so clearly — you sliding in on a total burner account with some weird, obscure profile picture of yourself that you'd never actually use, and then there's just a spam of comments underneath your own thirst edits like "hot" with the tongue emoji or "no. 1 obsession" and it's literally just you talking about yourself in the third person. i'm here for it. rattle their brains a little. let them wonder. it's fun and also kind of unhinged, and those are my two favorite qualities in a person. i'm still jealous of lollapalooza though — like i have tunes out, and i did that whole album with my ex-husband, but i haven't done a festival or toured in so long that it feels like a past life at this point. and it's one of those things where it's genuinely really hard to do, but there's this part of me that misses all of it — the chaos, the crowds, the whole thing. just haven't figured out the right moment to step back into it yet, you know?

so when was somebody going to tell me nearing my 30’s would mean my inner grandma is not only resurrected, but she’s thriving? it was only today when i realized that while i was talking to my sourdough starter, alone in my house, mind you, that this is probably the most exciting thing that’s happened to me in weeks. despite how sad it may sound, now that i’m taking a small break from my music, i never really thought about how nice it is to just take a breather from … everything, really. now it’s got me thinking, what’s your favorite way to decompress or relax after working? whether it’s work trips, going on tour, anything to make me feel less like a crazy lady who talks to her sourdough in her spare time. @limelightblvdstarters

you should have a hang-out session with taylor — she's the queen of sourdough, like she bakes them for people and puts these cute little punny stickers on them, and the whole thing is disgustingly wholesome. i'll just sit in the background watching you two bond over yeast and have absolutely no idea what any of it means, even though i technically had my own cooking show, so that's embarrassing. bread's just not really my specialty, you know? i'm more of a burgers-and-steak-sandwiches-and-pasta — so much pasta — sort of girl because i'm a hungry bitch, and when that stomach growl hits, i'm not delicately snacking; i'm fully downing myself in a whole mukbang situation. no shame. fork in each hand. but other things i do to relax — i'm obsessed with scented candles and rose water facial sprays and face masks and those liquid-feel steel massage globe things that you roll on your face and immediately feel like a rich victorian woman recovering from a fainting spell. or just cuddles with my two dogs, winnie and daisy, who genuinely don't care about my career and that's exactly the energy i need sometimes.
