THE STARTING LINE.

so when was somebody going to tell me nearing my 30’s would mean my inner grandma is not only resurrected, but she’s thriving? it was only today when i realized that while i was talking to my sourdough starter, alone in my house, mind you, that this is probably the most exciting thing that’s happened to me in weeks. despite how sad it may sound, now that i’m taking a small break from my music, i never really thought about how nice it is to just take a breather from … everything, really. now it’s got me thinking, what’s your favorite way to decompress or relax after working? whether it’s work trips, going on tour, anything to make me feel less like a crazy lady who talks to her sourdough in her spare time. @limelightblvdstarters

Honestly, as a 30-year-old, I feel this so hard. Sometimes I'm either the 21-year-old kid who likes to party and jump up and down and have a great time, or my inner grandpa shows up, and I'm lying down and doing something boring. But honestly, the break sounds lovely, especially when you've been doing the music thing for a minute; sometimes it's nice to let your grandma flag fly for a minute. Honestly? I've been really into the documentaries and cooking thing on the time off we do get, cooking especially, as hit a lot of my interest, and I'm sure I definitely talk to the things I'm making, so you're not entirely crazy here.

I'm fully sure this is a wrestling thing, and I'm not too sure if it'll all be okay immediately, but it should be okay eventually. I'd imagine it's always scary when you first start, and until you get built into the behaviors that fully keep you safe. I'm sure my mom, who was a teacher, was also pretty concerned when I chose to be a musician, if that helps.

sounds like a whole lot of busy on your plate man. have you taken the time to sit and rest up at all? i don’t use the whole tiktok thing but i kinda see a lot of craziness on instagram sometimes. the fandom is wild and they got zero chill sometimes all fandoms have that extra level of obsessed but quite wild. fandoms are mad serious.

So busy, not enough time to actually rest and actually get the beauty sleep that I desire, sadly. I can't imagine what your comment section is like on Instagram, mate. It's probably high-key the most unhinged shit imaginable. And if you scroll too far, you're in even more trouble than you were before. They really are. Sometimes we even get petitioned.

that’ll steal your energy. have you been able to go get to crash yet and get a couple hours of rest? being on the go can be exhausting and the any kind of the rest is good rest. nah, don’t do too much of the tiktok trend. barely get on social media these days cause i don’t got the time or energy to do so but do know what you mean from fan edits to all the crazy fandom stuff.

As much rest as you can get with a band of dudes and traveling from city to city, honestly. I try to get as much beauty sleep as I can, at this point. I get you. Especially with your job and how active you've gotta be to keep yourself fit, even with the injury, right? I don't know if I'd trade the fanbase too much; they're kind of fun to deal with.

i'm only doing one of those things and my exhaustion level is at an all time high so can't imagine how you're feeling. how's the tour going? are you enjoying yourself? the tiktok algorithm is so weird but hilarious sometimes. have you tried liking non-band related things to make the thirst traps go away? i deleted tiktok ages ago but the weirdest things i saw were those five minute craft videos where they make the dumbest items. have you seen those? so stupid.

The tour is going pretty great, honestly. It's super fun to see how the fans react to the songs and the parts of the show that aren't the songs of it all. I love touring, so it's rather enjoyable for me, yeah. What are you working on at the moment? I honestly have. And I don't mind if the band account is like all band stuff; it makes it easier for us to see it and respond to it. I should absolutely like more non-band stuff on my personal accounts. Oh, a thousand percent I have. Some of them are absolute shit too.

I totally definitely and certainly—feel this so much on a daily basis. I feel this on a very high level with all the travel and having a daughter and then by juggling work with it all it’s lovely when my husband is with me and able to help me out and take a little weight off the exhaustion. I have a TikTok I barely use it however but I have scrolled through for the heck of having a good laugh at some of the things that I have seen and come across it is so crazy and it’s funny. Some of the fan edits are really really creative though. I’ve had fans send me their art work on Instagram sometimes very talented people.

Traveling with the kiddo can be pretty rough at times, but luckily, her mom has her for a lot of the tour now that we aren't together anymore. I don't know how I'd handle doing the rockstar gig and making sure she was okay all the time. So honestly, bless both of you for making sure that's a priority and that it works. I'm sure it's rewarding to watch her grow as much as you're able to. Oh, a hundred percent, I don't mind the fan edits; some of them are cool, and a lot of the performing edits they make of my band are pretty cool. It's those wild thirst edits that get you like oh heeeey.

I was sooooo like this after I was finished with wrapping up filming for the Baywatch reboot, great cast, amazing, it was very fun but very exhausting. I collapsed in bed as soon as I got home. I slept for hours when I came home and being in my own bed. There is nothing more satisfying then waking up the next day happy with what you accomplished and feeling refreshed. You’re sooo right. I am on TikTok all the time—and have so many followers on that platform every single day and it keeps growing. The weirdest things I’ve seen oh god.. Well, okay, one that makes me feel a little weird is probably when you come across people judging you and telling you how to live your life or shipping you with other random people. Another time I’ve come across those ridiculous fake ai videos I don’t understand it at all. They creep me out.

That new Baywatch sounds like it was super fun to film, though. You must've had a blast. Honestly, I feel like I'm going to do the same thing, and I'm super excited for when we head to Australia in October, for the whole food and just lying in my parents' house and relaxing for a minute. But also to get back to my own actual bed, because nothing is more refreshing than your own actual bed, I think. Oh, honestly, kudos to you for posting on that app as consistently as you do. It's one of those apps that we don't think about; we just kind of post and ghost it. Oh, we get those too, and they're so strange about how they think our tour should run that it's mental. And the shipping is insane. With me, it's usually one of the members of my band, at least. Have you seen the AI fruit videos? Where they make skits with them?

I feel like I genuinely should say I'm sorry for the fact that we appear so much. I think it depends on what tiktok; we all tend to have a little input on it. Sometimes it's just the trend going around at the moment that we would find hilarious to do. We'll do anything for the bit, within reason. ....That sounds gnarly....and half scary to just roll up on.

You have a lot of responsibility and more power to you for handling all of that. That would take too much for me to handle. If it were me I would have had a meltdown by now haha. Oh my gosh, yep! I really see what you mean. Those thirst trap edits, I catch myself scrolling for long hours. It never fails to catch me off guard when they pop up. Some people have way too much time on their hands to make those—you’re in quite the good company ln that end of the internet. I haven’t seen anything wild wild but those that spread rumors on the dirt sheets aren’t always pleasant. Most of it is made up bull shit but hey people have to make stories somehow.

Honestly, I'm super thankful for the boys in the band. I couldn't do this life without them, given the insane behavior of the fans and the world at this point. So I feel you on the mental breakdown, definitely probably why I haven't had one yet. You just kind of stare at your screen for a minute and make a face before attempting to scroll past it because you don't want more to come up. Are dirt sheets for you like TMZ? I'm always curious how they come up with their rumors.

why am i picturing this so clearly — you sliding in on a total burner account with some weird, obscure profile picture of yourself that you'd never actually use, and then there's just a spam of comments underneath your own thirst edits like "hot" with the tongue emoji or "no. 1 obsession" and it's literally just you talking about yourself in the third person. i'm here for it. rattle their brains a little. let them wonder. it's fun and also kind of unhinged, and those are my two favorite qualities in a person. i'm still jealous of lollapalooza though — like i have tunes out, and i did that whole album with my ex-husband, but i haven't done a festival or toured in so long that it feels like a past life at this point. and it's one of those things where it's genuinely really hard to do, but there's this part of me that misses all of it — the chaos, the crowds, the whole thing. just haven't figured out the right moment to step back into it yet, you know?

Your idea is better than mine. Usually, I just comment on one of my accounts or the band's accounts and really make their heads spin. It's one of the best things to do for this fanbase, and it's so funny watching them react online. Especially when sometimes I'm just being an actual little shit. Lollapalooza was one of the wildest experiences, I think, we've had in an actual minute as a band, though, and it was one of the most rewarding things. You do, and I love the music you've put out. It's such an easy listen. But I think you should, if it's something you're really into doing, you know? I think the world misses seeing you perform on stage. Have you thought about a setlist you'd want to do?

That sounds like a very hectic and chaotic life. Are you still touring or having a little break now? It does get a little awkward when the fans find out that you've seen some of the videos. Have you commented on those videos? Because that would make it even better. I've seen a lot of weird things on TikTok. People just post the strangest videos. But of myself? Yeah, plenty. Mostly with Hudson also being a star in them. It's been very...interesting to say the least. There are a lot of horny people ont he planet.

The most hectic, all of the time. We have a couple more weeks of the US run, and then, like, little bits around the rest of the world after that, but there's a bit of a break in between, which should help. Oh, I sometimes do on the 5SOS account itself, which is hilarious because they genuinely don't think we see most of the things on the app. I can't imagine how wildly your life blew up after Heated Rivalry; I also can't imagine the edits. Are they of you and Hudson? Or are they of your characters? ... Or both? Oh, there absolutely are far too many horny people on this planet, and they really love watching your chemistry with other people.

Oh goodness! Look at you being busy, busy, and I hope you’re able to keep sane through it all? That sounds completely tiresome. Are you going to try and get time for you? I used to get that way when I did wrestling and the travel took its toll. Ah, TikTok, I find that little app to be weird sometimes and I can never find myself staying on there long enough to find anything out of the ordinary I guess I don’t look into those things very often but Instagram those DMs I get sometimes are the crazy ones.

I'm attempting to keep sane as much as I actually can; it's a bit difficult with all the chaos of traveling, especially with a little one, but such is life. I'm trying to take a little bit of time in the morning to just exist a little bit and take some time for myself. What did you use to do to handle the stress of all the traveling? There are some pretty cool things on that app, and sometimes it confuses you greatly every time you're on it. Oh god, the Instagram DMs- I can't even imagine what you get.

honestly, it's funny to me that the fans seem to think that we don't know what they are doing at all. i know there are thirst edits of me and i've seen a few of them. it kind of makes me laugh a bit in a way. though i'll see thirst edits of friends and the people i work with as well. most of the time i scroll past them so i don't have to see them but i know they are being made.
