The "Armor of Masks" of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, attributed to the Negroli workshop, Milan, Italy, 1539, housed at the Real Armería, Madrid.

Manufactured c.1610 in France. This pistol is mounted with three barrels with linked chambers, lit up by wheellock mechanisms on both outer barrels. Its propensity to inaccuracy and collateral damage are easily worth it when you think about how nice it must have sat on your hip for daily wear.

I am so fucking pleased with my performance today. I fought better than I ever have, I fenced cleanly, And I did my absolute best. I'm very proud of my performance today, and I'm excited to keep growing as a fencer.
