I was thinking of sharing a post of mine on instagram. I hesitated at the post button. Not because I wouldn't want people to see my feeble attempt at deep thoughts and intellectualism, but because Instagram is not the same cultural space as tumblr. Instagram has many subgroups and communities, but it is like a corporate giant of social media in comparison to my tumblr account of little following. Tumblr feels far more intimate and comforting. Instagram is somewhat like a ladder, which you must cling to, hanging above a sea of sharks.
