My family is slowly breaking apart.
I watch as my dad slowly kill with alcohol and tries to distract himself with useless entertainment. A result of depression.
I watch as my mom breaks down because sheâs so used to being reliant on my dad. It kills her that she canât help my dad who canât take criticism.
Heâs not even abusive mentally, physically, or verbally. He supports everything I do but it kills me that heâs given up on himself. He has hope for me but heâs done with himself and his relationship. He feels helpless.
They still love each other but heâs given up on his on life and family. He wants us to be happy while he goes off alone somewhere to slowly kill himself.
I saw him took a smoke again for the first time today. Heâs stopped for 7 years already. Yesterday my brother became an adult. He became 18. So now my dad is done for reals. So is my family. So is his life. So is everything I know.

Iâm jumping back on here after a hiatus just to sayâŚyouâre a piece of crap, Greyâs Anatomy. HA wow.Â
After some processing thoughâŚitâs not like this is a huge surprise this show has been making terrible decisions for a while now. But - I had at least hoped for a little better. If Arizona leaves any other way than going to New York with Callie and Sofia than I really donât know what the writers are smokinâ lol. I am just in a state of confusion because honestly this show is so f-d up. Also - why did they fire two women? They couldnât get rid of someone like Kevin? No offense, but what purpose does his character serve?Â
Hereâs my predictions/hopesâŚ
Arizona - Decides she loves Callie too much, Callie loves her back, moves up there for a new job and for their happily ever after. Done. Thatâs an easy one, Greyâs Writers. Really canât screw that up. You donât even need Sara to come back for an episode, though that would soften the blow a little. Will they do this? Iâm on the fence about 50/50. Weâll see.Â
April - WellâŚiâm stumped. April loves Jackson. She has a child with Jackson. She isnât going to up and leave her child. SoâŚsorry to say I think sheâll be killed off. I know I know! That sucksâŚbut I kind of canât think of any other scenario.Â

I donât even know if I care at this point. April Kepner is a precious baby that has been throught hell and back for the last five years and she canât get a break, wtf canât they let her BE HAPPY? Why canât she be loved, really loved for a guy? and not being toyed or having meanliness sex. Iâm also tired of how Jackson is treating her.
I thought that they would make Jackson angry at her for leaving him behind and moving out again, and that would explain his fall down and how he turned into a spoiled brat. He would be hurt. I thought Aprilâs journey was about how she had hurt him, admitting it and apologyzing, before moving on while Jackson did everything he could to have her again. If I believe they will eventually end up together? Well if the actors donât give up like half the fandom already did⌠I think itâs possible.
Donât understand me wrong, I donât mind April having sex with other men, but I didnât want her to have random sex because she is questioning herself, what she has done her entire life, her own faith, Again. They are breaking her down, again. She is going against herself to what? Prove that God doesnât exist? That he doesnât care? I really doubt they are going to do thst because I think Sarah Drew would be against it, so itâs going to renew Aprilâs faith. She will what, understand that her God is not cruel? That as Nathan said âhas bigger things to deal withâ? Why do they have to hurt her all the time? Donât the writers understand that people deserve peace too? And not only April, but us, fans.
I suffered it all with April because I see myself in her. And in Sarah Drew. And the fact that she apparently sees no light in the end of the tunnel anymore tells me what? Iâm already an insecure person, afraid of failing, Iâve never been loved and never lived. And now the person that gave me faith and inspiration⌠Iâm seeing her crumble. Shonda, Krista, whoever call it crazy, but even you need to admit that after 250 episodes, 8 seasons with a character⌠You need to at least love it a little bit.
April Kepner is my hero, and as her creator, You are just as cruel as she now imagines her God to be. Thank you for literally shattering one of my safe places.
Well her monologue in the beginning could be a hint? Like âJobs lost a lot but in the end didnât lose his faith in god so he was rewarded with twice the amountâ or something similar. So maybe sheâll go through a journey of self discovery or renewal of faith, this time for herself without any baggage (Jackson or the memory of Samuel) to hold her back or to stop her. And no one goes through a journey or life without making some mistakes. Itâs what makes her human and relatable. Sheâs not perfect and sheâs far from it. And hey, maybe sheâll be rewarded in the end with some happiness. Maybe sheâll get her closure with Matthew. Maybe sheâll get her closure with Samuel (cause I still donât think sheâs over that completely or moved on in a healthy way. She just worked more to find a sense of purpose and then had Harriet which helps lessen the pain but she and Jackson never really dealt with the grief head on in my eyes. Itâs still difficult for them to mention Samuelâs name and you can see that the pain is still pretty raw whenever they mention him. They would whisper his name or they couldnât even say his name). I actually feel that she was questioning her faith for a while but still acted strong bc she found other distractions that gave her purpose and the deaths that happened in todayâs episode was just the final straw bc her being a successful trauma surgeon gave her the purpose and distraction she needed but she lost 4 patients today. One who was a kid who was a victim of police brutality, one was her exâs wife who just gave birth to their daughter, one who appeared fine but died anyway. They all appeared well and fine when she checked on them but died anyway. And there was the one who asked questions about her faith (which is something else sheâs confident about) that she couldnât answer. Lierally her faith and skills failed her today and it made her lose her sense of purpose. It just seems like she canât find her place right now. However, April is incredibly strong. She might see no light at the end of the tunnel right now but Aprilâs a strong woman. She will run, walk, or even crawl her way out of this tunnel. It might seem endless and dark for now but all tunnels end eventually. The distance is different for everyone. You might wander around in circles for what seems like ages bc you canât see in this dark tunnel. But you will definitely find your way eventually. And one day, youâll look back and reminsince on how you managed to surpass this hurdle in your life. Just like how I believe April will.
