It's been awhile since I've posted, but I'm hoping to get out more with the weather warming up soon :) I took this picture on a road trip to Phoenix, AZ (from SoCal) to visit my great grandmother in the hospital. We stopped at a rest stop, and the most beautiful sunset was giving everyone a show. Seriously, there were a few other couples who stopped and watched with us. It was an awesome trip, and we also drove down to Tuscon to visit my extended family. We drove back on New Year's Eve just in time for 2024.

I visited the Trona Pinnacles near Ridgecrest and the Searles Valley with my parents one day. It's honestly such an interesting geological location to see and learn about. As for the "Fish Head Rocks" on the right picture, they were off the side of the road and so neat we had to stop. The paint was originally added in the 1930s. I think they're pretty cool looking. 😎🐟

Finally, onto the cool things I've done in 2022. This picture is from the Clark County Wetlands Park in Las Vegas. It was awesome to see all that water flowing through a desert. I was there with my best friend who was visiting from Texas. I love Las Vegas and hope to move back there one day, so I visit fairly often. ^_^

I’m late posting this one! These pictures are from Monterey, CA. My sister had her wedding at Carmel-By-The-Sea just after Christmas in 2021. It was so beautiful, and the central coast of California has got to be my favorite. Specifically, because of the CA 1 and Monterey Bay (for the aquarium). ^_^

Last year, we got so much snow in December. I went to the nature park to check out the creek and it was flowin’. Pretty dirty from the runoff but it was still nice.  

Last year, I used to get up early and go for a walk or a small hike. It always resulted in beautiful scenery that I will never get tired of. This particular picture was taken at the end of a trail by the train tracks with a small creek beside it. 

Also, if anyone knows what kind of plant/tree this is I would love to know!

This is the first post on my blog where I document places I’ve been and what I do. These two pics of my cat are from January 2021 which was a very rough month for me. Both of my parents got covid and my dog I had had for 15 years passed away. Still, I always find the little things that bring me joy like Smudge looking out my bedroom window. I will definitely be posting more of her in the future. <3
