While Dedede was working the girls started to notice what he was doing and gathered around. None of their teachers seemed to mind knowing they wouldn't get too much done in class anyway. Elsa and Liz looked to each other when they were pointed at but shrugged and helped lift the dumbbell. With the two girls combined strength it lifted quite easily and they looked to Dedede to see what they needed to do next.
âHey, WHOA! Yer almost as strong as I am!â Dedede complimented in a boastful manner, straightening his back once the dumbell was lifted. âSo I take it ya have gym class next? Mind help me shiftinâ it there? Itâll help me in helpinâ ya.â he asked, before heaving a few other smaller dumbells. Eventually, the teen resorted to rolling them down the corridor with hope that they would actually reach the gymnasium. âMind pointinâ me tha right way?â
The two girls nod and start carrying the dumbell towards the gym, leading Dedede in the right direction. The gym turned out to look pretty much like the rest of the rooms in the school, with stone walls and a wood floor, just bigger and with a higher ceiling. There also appeared to be some chains hanging down but they were mostly out of the way. To the far wall there was an old phonograph with a record next to a storage room. Liz and Elsa placed the dumbell down and then turned to Dedede just as he and the other girls arrived.
âThis it? No boppinâ bags? Weights? Or even any pullinâ pulleys?â Itâs just a bunch of chains and some weird instrument of some sort. âWhut the heck is that there sâposed to be? Some sorta musical megaphone?â Shaking his head, he then faced the girls. âSo, gymninâ is yer next lesson, huh? Well, the Waddle Deeâs are bringinâ the weights, so maybe we should work up on our stretches. Best loosen all limbs before ya work on âem.â
"It's a phonograph. For playing music during dance. Other stuff is in the storage closet but not sure what we actually got." The girls nod at Dedede's suggestion and get into line to start stretching.
âA phono-whut? No bells ringinâ from that, so maybe itâs best this here is mâintroduction.â Dedede said, before getting into a pose. In seconds, his robe was flung off, collar landing on the open door, before he returned to his original pose. Then he began with a star-shaped pose, then straightened his legs so that his form can lean both ways. âBest tâstretch yer spine so yer wonât feel it afterwards.â
Most of the girls did what Dedede said except for Phantasma who titled her head to the right. "I don't have a spine, eeheehee." She twisted her spectral from into a circle to demonstrate.
âSpirits dunâ have spines, I see...â his eyes focused on her body twirling away, green Irisâ following her endless movements. âWell, if ya have a body, one that ainât see-through, do whut I do...â Dedede then closed his legs, hands clasped together, before he went to pump up his arms. The portly human was ready for a challenge, so he wondered which monster could he pick to help him... âAâight, I need someone strong... uhh ya right there! Stitches! Iâve seen ya first to defend yer friends, step fourth.â He might as well start with a challenge but little did he know that monstrous girls arenât any pushovers.
The girls with physical form did what Dedede demonstrated and stretched. When he asked Elsa to come help she nodded and came up to stand next to him. "Ok, so what you want me to do?"
âNow sparrinâ is parta lesson tho Iâll go easier on ya...â with that, he held his ground by playing both shoes against the ground. Then came up his hands but in a grappling manner which were held in front of her. âShove me, I ainât gonna hold back âgainst ya. Ya seem like tha strongest but can ya heave a heavy weight...â He sadly didnât know of a Frankenstein...
Elsa raised an eyebrow when Dedede told her to shove him, but then gave a shrug and did what he said. "If you say so."
She held out her arms and shoved him back hard.
Dedede really should have read or watched the monster media so that he would have known that the Frankensteinâs are stronger than the usual human. So, as he felt a pair of palms shove him backwards, he found himself in the air and out of the window just like that!! âYAAAHHHH!!â Then he landed directly in the moat, soaking his entire body. Sticking his head out and spitting out a vat of water. âGâyarh! Aww...! Thatâs some strength ya got there, Stitches...!â
Elsa poked her head out the window. "Sorry, thought you'd like to land in the mote instead of in the wall." Winnie then jumped up on the windowsill. "Does this mean we're doing swimming lessons instead of boxing lessons?" Distracting Dedede was probably not the best thing to do right then as a pair of shark fins stared heading for him.
Dedede took the time to compose himself, reminding him to never tangle with someone of her kind ever again. He should have picked his opponent better, such as the vampire⌠but arenât they full of strength as well? As such, physical sparring against each monster wasnât a good idea. âI think Iâll jusâ spar tha spirit âstead, as she ainât gonna hurt meâŚâ he announced, looking up at the two monster girls. âYeah, come on in, tha waterâs fineâŚâ sarcastically said the teen, before he heard something come out of the water. His ears perking upwards, the King looked back with his widened emerald eyes. âUuuhhâŚ! That there is a student, rightâŚ?â he asked, freezing upon the spot when he tried to wade in the moat.
The two headed shark swam towards Dedede with a hungry gaze, but before it could do anything to him, a small body landed on one of its snouts.
Tanis frowned down at the shark head she landed on.
âMr. Dedede is a friend. You donât get to eat friends, remember?â
The shark sank back under the water and Tanis swam over to Dedede.
âDonât worry about Bighty she wonât hurt you as long as she knows youâre supposed to be here.â
There was then a few more splashes as the other girls jumped into the mote.
