This is me.

We are officially signed out of ft hood. Corah is semi asleep in her pack & play, I'm waiting on William to get back all while furiously refreshing cotton babies website to see if Audrey is up yet. We have to get up at like 6:30a- pack our car again, check out, walk thru the house and then do the first 10 hours of driving. I will have Corah and the dogs and he'll be in his truck with trailer. It doesn't seem real yet- I feel like we're just going on vacation and will be back soon. My best friend here is my best friend ever and it sucks. I miss her shenanigans already! She's planning to come out our way in a few months though so that's a bright spot! And if her butt doesn't come out I'm going to come back with William in August for sure. I have a heavy heart leaving here- it's by far not my favorite place but it's where we had corah, our first home, my first duty station with him. Looking forward to the future but the unknown is definitely scary.

I'm pretty sure Corah hates the world. Her 2nd little baby tooth just broke thru and she's been clingy to me all day. BUT I did get her this funky new teething thing and she's been chowing down on it! Hope it'll give her some relief (along with the teething stuff I got at natural grocers!) As we're walking around Walmart (I know I hate it but sometimes you have to suck it up and go) anyway- I go to get something as William goes to get the other things on our list. As he's coming back to find me all I can hear is 'momma momma momma' and I look and see Corah looking all around for me. She sees me and puts her hands up for me to grab her and laughs. Kid is suchhh a mommas girl. I'm not going to lie. I love it.

It's all hitting me. We're leaving Hood. My house is slowly emptying as my garage is filling with boxes. I'm arranging for hotels, moving trucks and storage unit. The power, water, internet and dish to all have been scheduled to cut off. My mom is counting down the days so excitedly, planning trips to the aquarium, zoo, children's museum and beach while I'm over here getting more and more overwhelmed with the fact that I will be living at home with my parents and my crazy ass inlaws just a mile up the road. 😣🔫 I know he's only going to be 3 hours away but that's still 3 hours! We won't be coming home to each other at night, or even on the weekends. He's going to miss SO much. Of course all of the holidays but as well as Corahs birthday, her crawling (maybe unless she picks it up soon!), her first steps, her new teeth, her learning and developing it's such a crucial time for her little brain and development. I don't want her to be confused on who I am- we'll be living with my parents I don't want her to think they're her parents. I don't want her to not know who William is. I'm just getting all these funky thoughts and just not feeling it. I love my momma and daddy I want to spend time with them before we're whisked off to Germany for a few years but I don't like all the crappy parts of this spring/summer. Blah.

So tonight is our first time ever being just Corah and I because William was told yesterday he'd have CQ. Well he puts her to sleep at night- apparently tonight she's decided that she's going to be a newborn and wake up every 3 hours. She's killing me.
