I tried to run to get out of the rain. And then I stopped running using my face as a brake. Scraped a chunk out of the bridge of my glasses and they, in turn, took a chunk out of my nose. Now I get to rock this great bandaid on my nose. Also hit my right knee which now seems to be a little swollen. This has been a hell of a year as far as exceeding the annual quota for beloved celebrity deaths, questionable political options, etcetera.... etcetera.... But I have to say that this is probably the best year I've had out of the last 5 or 6 at least. The quality of my life and my ability to see the forest through the trees has drastically improved. I actually have an idea of where I'm going. While life isn't completely predictable and things happen, having a plan helps greatly navigate the hiccups. And when you detour too much, you lose sight of your plan and get lost. So thank you 2016, my year of rebuilding, and hello to 2017, the first of many years of moving toward the big goals I see for myself. Every Monday morning, the company I work at has fresh fruits delivered. It is also at that time that they dispose of any remaining fruit from the previous week. When I work extra hours on Saturdays and I know that no one else will be eating the fruit, I pick up as much fruit as I can so it doesn't go to waste. This morning we will have fresh orange juice to go with our breakfast, which was juiced with the juicer i got for free on Craigslist. #freefood #wastenotwantnot #freshorangejuice
