Just finished watching the backrooms, it was pretty good 9.5/10
It wasn’t scary tho, my friends found it terrifying but I just found it to be extremely funny.
Like (spoiler here) you know when Clark was being picked by the tall fucked up version of himself and it LOOKS like they’re about to hug but then the fucked up clark starts eating him and it’s like “well gosh darn, too bad I guess” or, well, the movie didn’t act like that I did. Yeah that was super funny because it’s that subversion of expectation, where you think it’s gonna be a wholesome moment but then turns quickly gruesome. Yeah.
Also, all the moments they played non horror music, so like the song that played in the Christmas tree room and the old orchestral sounding song in the hospital flashback, was such a vibe. I was genuinely grooving in my seat when those scenes came up, it was fun.
But yeah, that’s all I wanted to say about the backrooms
