I just finished writing chapter four of Blood Moon. It still needs some editing, touch ups, testing, etc. but it’s finished, and I hope it’ll be fun to play. I’m excited to share it with you in a few days, when the moon is full.

So, with that achievement under my belt, I wanted to take a moment to thank you, and to tell you a quick story.

In 2018 I wrote a novel. I really loved it and, soon after finishing, found some editors to help me whip it into shape… and for the better part of the last two years that’s what I’ve been doing. Editing this novel.

And, honestly, I hate to admit this, but it made me feel really bad about my writing. I began to feel like I was just not good enough to be an author. It was… well… shit. I cried more than a grown woman should cry.

I finished editing it a couple of months ago… and started writing Blood Moon shortly after, just for fun. I didn’t plan on releasing it. I almost didn’t. But, one night, I did. The response was incredibly positive. Some other writers and readers encouraged me to get a tumblr, so I did, and interacting with readers here has really made me feel good about my writing in a way I haven’t felt for a while.

So… yeah… I guess I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who’s played my game, sent me messages, reblogged my stuff, etc. It’s really made the last couple of weeks awesome… which is quite the feat because work plus the pandemic has not been fun.
