Random Little Whatnots

The longer this goes on, the more evidence I have and the less possibilities there are.

People deserve to know who was sending them things. They deserve to know that it was their friend. They deserve to know it was someone they’ve known since elementary school. What they do with that information is up to them, that’s not my business or my concern, but I’m not keeping it quiet.

I am not getting adults involved. I am not telling your parents. I am not getting our pastor, our youth leaders, or my own parents involved. That would make this bigger than it deserves to be. A bigger deal than you deserve. But I am telling our peers, our friends, every single person that you decided to text and bring into this, because they have the right to know.

That’s fine. I will fix things with them. All of them. Actually, I already have, with nearly everyone. Because I love them, and they love me. I messed up, but our friendships are strong enough for that.

So if you just wanted a kick out of it, I hope you got that. If you were trying to do permanent damage, I’m sorry but you’ll be disappointed.

I believe in the God of the Bible, but I don’t think “religious” is fully the right term

In my opinion, religion is the human laws and traditions and checklists that people often push on others, and a lot of times that comes with hate and discrimination and truly disgusting behavior

Christianity, however, is and was always meant to be a personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus who loved everyone, regardless of their past or their identity or their social status

Other peoples’ relationship with Him is ultimately not my business. While I try to show people love like He did, and I am happy to answer any questions about my faith, I will never shove a Bible down someone’s throat, I will never be hateful in the name of religion, and I will never shun someone for who they are, who they love, or what they’ve done

I do not agree with or support hateful “Christians” who do those things or who use their religion as an excuse for hatred, because I don’t believe that’s what Jesus wanted

I don’t speak about this often on my blog, because it’s something that takes up a lot of my irl life one way or another, but that’s what I believe. If that still offends you or makes you uncomfortable, I’m sorry and you are welcome to block me and move on with your day :)
