and what exactly that means. because it wouldn’t be there if it didn’t mean anything- he could be lying but he brings it up so casually. does he know of women who have survived the flash. I had this idea that the flash affected everyone on the surface of the earth- and maybe some people knew about it however yado did and did preparations?

in a game that gives you as little information as possible (no sense of time, unclear flashbacks, no reason or explanation behind the flash) you can trust that the information you are given is significant. it’s why the player knows that buddy is nancy and nancy is yado’s daughter, even though buddy is not given an answer herself. because there is no reason for that to be mentioned unless it’s very significant. in a story that doesn’t give brad and lisa’s mother a name, why would she get one? because nancy is a major character.

and this is why I feel like buzzo’s awareness of “the women” means something. it is possible he was trying to throw brad off but then again couldn’t that be used against him as a reason to keep buddy? or wait a few more years? if there are “women” out there- adults -and buddy is usually referred to as a “girl” by others? if his main motivation is to get back at brad he wouldn’t want to give him an opportunity to “win”. it is weird that nobody comments on that line though- if they’re dismissing him as lying or they didn’t notice.
