This super helpful tip for memorizing the unit circle was shared by @rebrobindoesmath . I copied it down onto my notes on GoodNotes4 but wanted to share the final chart with the method. Thank you for this!

Heyy Emma, I'll be going back to start college again in september. The last time I was in college I mainly used notebooks and sometimes my laptop for in class notetaking. But now I'm looking into using a tablet but I was wondering what you use for in class notetaking.
Hey :-) Tablets are so great, I wish I was a few years younger so I could have used one since high school!! I use Goodnotes but import my own notetaking templates such as:
digital 5 tab notebook
double spread lined notebook
double spread two column lined notebook
double spread grid notebook (5mm and 10mm)
double spread cornell notebook
xx
Hi Emma, school is near (for me) and can you help me how to be ready for school?
Hi! Here are some links that might help:
how I take notes
what to take in your bag
how to take notes in class
how to remove distractions and improve focus
how to set up and use Microsoft OneNote
dealing with procrastination
studying printables (topic checklist, definitions + formula printables, essay + project planner, and weekly schedule)
weekly planner printables
productivity / time management apps to download
how I stay motivated
how to develop a colour code
Hope this helps x

11.5.17 || finishing off my world cities flashcards 🌍✨
1. Take a clipboard to school. You have to be prepared to do homework ANYWHERE at ANYTIME. Carry it in your hand with some paper and your homework clipped onto it and get work done whenever you can. Don’t keep the clipboard in your bag.
2. USE YOUR PLANNER EVERY DAY. Keeping track of assignments and important dates helps clear your mind. You don’t have to worry about remembering everything because all of it is written down. If you have a lot going on at once, start a bullet journal. If you can, divide your planner into sections based on different activities. For example, my bullet journal has 4 major sections: school work, extracurricular activities, community service, and general life issues. This creates order in the midst of chaos and also enforces the idea of taking everything one thing at a time. Your planner shouldn’t overwhelm you.
3. Get the biggest calendar you can find and hang it on the wall. The purpose of the calendar is to allow you to establish a general time frame for everything you need to do. PLAN AHEAD. Make sure EVERYTHING is on that calendar. Being overwhelmed by your planner is bad because it leads to a stressful day; your calendar takes on the role of allowing you to see the big picture. Having everything written down on a calendar creates a sense of urgency that’ll decrease the likelihood or duration of procrastination.
4. If you’re taking multiple AP classes, dedicate at least one day of the week to each subject. I had 7 AP’s so I studied a different subject each day. For example, every Monday was Macroeconomics day. I took my econ review book to school on Mondays and studied whenever I had some extra time. Start doing this 3 or 4 months before the exams in May to avoid cramming and excessive stress.
5. Sleep whenever you can but avoid sleeping on the way home from school. If you enter your home feeling sleepy the bed is going to be extra enticing.
6. If you NEED to pull an all-nighter (try to avoid them), drink a cup of straight up black coffee (no sugar) and take a 20 minute nap. It takes some time for the caffeine to kick in so you might as well get some sleep. You’ll eventually get used to the bitterness.
7. Sometimes you need to skip school but don’t skip unless you absolutely have to. If you do, you better not sleep in! Wake up normally and get to work ASAP. Do the makeup work and turn it in the next day, even if you don’t have to.
8. Study smarter, not harder. Figure out which study methods work for you. Note-taking is time-consuming so try to find alternatives. You don’t have to make everything aesthetically pleasing to post it on tumblr. In fact, if you’re compelled to take pretty notes just to post it on tumblr, LEAVE NOW. DO NOT WASTE TIME.
9. Do homework for the learning experience instead of the grade. Don’t copy work from your friends. If you use homework as a study resource, you won’t have to worry about long review sessions before a test. I have never studied for a Spanish test but the lowest score I’ve ever gotten on one is a 93. How? I did my homework. Â
10. STOP TRYING TO BE PERFECT. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. Perfection = waste of time. Don’t spend 10 hours writing an essay if you know you can get the same grade by only spending 2. I used to believe that the most important thing was being proud of everything you put your name on but none of that matters when you haven’t slept in 48 hours.
11. Complete the difficult tasks first. One of the many reasons people procrastinate is to avoid difficult tasks. If you save the hardest assignment for last, you’re more vulnerable to wasting time.
12. This one is very bad because it involves lying but it saved my grade a couple of times: ALWAYS turn in your homework. Why? Rarely missing an assignment gives you a good reputation and teachers tend to trust hardworking students. If you ever forget to do an assignment and you’re known to be a good student, your teacher is more likely to believe your excuse. Or, if you really left it at home, he/she/they might give you an extra day.
13. GOOGLE DRIVE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. Can’t turn in your essay because you told yourself you’d print it in the morning and forgot? No worries! It’s in google drive! Need a past assignment for reference but have the copy at home? No worries! It’s in google drive!
14. Your study space significantly impacts productivity. Organize your room/space to maximize concentration/productivity.
15. MOST IMPORTANTLY, give yourself some time off. If you don’t, you’ll eventually burn out and nothing will be able to motivate you again. I like to go watch a movie alone once in a while because it clears my mind for 2 hours. Being constantly bombarded with due dates can lead to massive anxiety issues. And guess what? You can’t get anything done if you’re having multiple panic attacks or if you’re in bed all day because you’re depressed. Take care of yourself. School can wait but your physical and mental health can’t.

26 Reminders for Going to School Like a Badass
1. Your attitude dictates your experience, so start finding things to get psyched about.
2. Stock up on healthy snacks in your house!!! You’ll be glad you did when the study-munchies roll around (and they always do).
3. Invest in a good planner. Especially if you take part in multiple extra-curriculars, I can’t stress how helpful it is having a place to check back on deadlines and big events.
4. Write down all your teachers’ names and emails as soon as you get them, so you’re not searching for them when you’re absent.
5. No one is having as much fun as their snapchat story makes it seem.
6. Don’t believe what your peers tell you about tests they take before you, study how much YOU need to.
7. Be nice to your math teacher. Partial credit on math problems might save your grade.
8. Don’t throw out syllabuses/first day handouts!!!! Theres a good chance they have information on the late policy and a gazillion other helpful things.
9. In fact, try to hold on to as many papers as you can for when finals inevitably attack.
10. No one knows you wore those jeans yesterday.
11. Be conscious of how you smell. Don’t be B.O. kid, but also try not to suffocate your lab partner with the scent of artificial fruit/flowers.
12. That cookie in the cafeteria is probably not worth 95 cents. Pack snacks from home to resist overpriced school treats.
13. If you’re carrying around a travel mug of coffee, people will usually leave you alone.Â
14. Don’t spend more time planning your study schedule than actually studying. Just get your books out and do it.
15. Never underestimate the amount of motivation you can get from watching Legally Blonde (movie or musical).Â
16. Try to attend at least one school sporting event per season, even if thats not really your scene. Some teachers even offer extra credit for going to big games!
17. Don’t be that kid that asks the teacher when you’re getting your tests back. They have like a gazillion to grade. You’ll get them when they’re done.
18. Have a pump-up playlist for the ride to school and the walk to your first class. Nothing feels more badass than walking through crowded hallways while listening to Halsey’s “New Americana”.
19. Set up a back-up study zone for when you need a change of pace.
20. Don’t put off creative projects because you think they’ll be less time consuming. There’s nothing worse than glitter gluing a scale model of the U.S. Senate at 3 AM because you thought it would be quick and easy.
21. That extra 10 minutes of sleep is not worth the risk of oversleeping completely. Get up, splash your face with some cold water, and get this show on the road.
22. Find a school inspiration, whether it be a really hardworking friend or a studyblr you follow. Check their progress whenever you need motivation.
23. If someone only ever talks to you when they need to copy the homework, they’re using. Don’t indulge them.
24. Doing your own work is so SO important. Plagiarism can destroy careers.
25. Creative outlets can be so refreshing, like a diary, a private tumblr, a sketchbook, whatever floats your boat.
26. When all else fails, remember how lucky you are to be getting an education. School isn’t a punishment, its an opportunity for you to create a kick-ass foundation for the rest of your life.Â

Grades I’m Hopeful for
So Raine did a post like this earlier so I thought I’d do one too because it seemed like a good plan to set my goals out.
I almost all the same classes as her except instead of Music Technology, I take Intro to Digital Media.
My grades aren’t exactly what I wanted at the beginning of the year, but that’s okay. Things don’t exactly turn out as we plan. That’s just life. <3 Next year I’m promising to get all A’s by changing my bad habits (like procrastination). The following letters are the grades I hope to get by the end of this semester of 9th grade:
Language Arts Gifted: high C
Chemistry Gifted: C
Acc Geometry Gifted: middle B
Spanish I Gifted: A
Intro to Digital Media: A
Engineering Concepts: high B
Physics Gifted: C

Hey!! I rarely ever post, oops. I’ve been busy just as Raine has!! Have some coolio notes on Gases from Chemistry! - Amanda <3
I used to excel in school but I'm honestly just tired now and average and how do I deal with that? Like, I want to be more relaxed with my grades but at the same time I feel weird about not getting the highest grades anymore?
Hey there! It sounds like you might be a bit burned out. I always tell myself, “you don’t need to be the best, you just need to try your best” and that has really shifted my mindset. It shifted my perspective from being this ultra-competitve, super stressed out student (and honestly? my grades weren’t that much better because of it) to one who was more relaxed, happy and learning for the joy of learning. If you can say that you did your best on every assignment, you will probably find that not only does learning become more enjoyable but you may also retain more information.Â
As far as grades go, although they are important, they are not the pinnacle of your life. There are so many more important things than your grades, GPA, etc. It is important to try your best, but don’t let good grades be your only goal in life.Â
My Goals in School
At my school, I take really accelerated courses
As I am a freshman I take Physics Honors, Chemistry Honors, Accelerated Algebra, Spanish Honors, Engineering, Music Technology, 9th-grade language Honors. Â
My grades aren’t exactly 4.0 type grades because I have had an awful time organizing my time, but for the end of the school year I plan on having these grades
Physics Honors- High C,Â
Chemistry Honors - C,Â
Accelerated Algebra - B,Â
Spanish Honors - A or high B,Â
Engineering - A,Â
Music Technology  - A,Â
9th-grade language Honors - A.
(I know C’s are nothing to be proud of, but science is really hard for me so sadly getting a C would actually be an achievement. [ik i’m an idiot] )
April 14th, 2017 So, I’ve started re-writing my notes os their organized and pretty and neat and whatever. I don’t like how my physics notes turned out exactly, but this is my first try. It’s not that pretty but i’ll get better. This is my (and Amanda’s) physics and chemistry notes.

New Studyblr
so heyyy guys,
I just started a new studyblr. I am looking forward to this and so I just wanted to tell ya something about me before I get started.
I’m Raine. I have a personal Tumblr but I won’t direct you to it because it’s really depressing.
I am a high school student as well as a college student (through dual enrollment) and I try very hard to get straight A’s
I also play soccer, and as far as I’m concerned I'm fairly good at it.
I am getting my psychology, film and English + rhetoric degree right now and that’s because I am really interested in watching, producing, and writing movies as well as manipulation and how the brain works. After I graduate I plan on attending Harvard Law and becoming a lawyer (maybe even passing the bar in all 50 states)
I mean other than that, idk anything else yall would want to know. so....
Nos Vemos or whatever,
Raine
