"It's really not that big of a deal. You can stop staring whenever you'd like." Cut lip, cut cheek, bruising already forming around the face. He'd certainly been in worse situations than a stupid bar fight and he'd certainly taken worse injuries. Bruised was how he lived his life since he was eighteen, be it bruised knuckles or he'd been the one to take some hits here and there. Of course, it was usually something that might catch another's attention given his overall state. Normal people didn't get into altercations as much. "Trust me, the other guy got it worse."
She had been late which wasn't something that occurred often, but lucky for her she had missed whatever action had occurred here. Hands pushed into her pockets as she rocked back on her heels. She shrugged. "Has the other guy looked in the mirror?" She questioned before casting a look around the bar. There was nobody else here that looked like he had, so her only assumption was that he was long gone. "Let me buy you a drink."

"Don't fucking flatter yourself." Fletcher scoffs, plucking his own beer up from the table. He's sat in the only vacant seat. And like fuck is he going to stand between a greasy ape with a mustard stain, and butterface with the pink cargos. To make abundantly clear, he adds: "You're hot, but you're not my type."
It's a lie, simply because he would. Of course he would. One eye doesn't make him entirely blind.
"You've got a free seat, and you're not shit to look at." He slumps back in the chair, kicks the legs a little further back to give space around him, an arm loops around the backrest, he's nearly side on. There's a rush in the pub; sandwiches flying out of the kitchen, and beers being poured — speaking of, he jerks an arm out to stop a valet in their tracks. They nearly faceplant, and Fletch doesn't care. "Two beers —" he glances to the woman across from him, a wry grin: "And I'll take the same as whatever she's eating."
She hadn't missed the beginning of his comments; not being his type had been a lie. She'd seen him the way his eyes scanned her body before he'd even lowered himself into the empty booth. She brought her wine to her lips and leaned back making herself more comfortable. "and what if what I'm eating is terrible?" She questioned.
"You haven't heard?" A single eyebrow raised, paired with the same suited-sleaze Hans has sported for years. "Some senator ate his own tongue on CSPAN like, twenty minutes ago. They need someone to stop the word vomit from coming out, if you have a couple hours to spare and a scoop good for shoveling shit." What does his anxiety-ridden assistant always say, again? "'No worries if not!'"
"For you I have the rest of my evening," To say she didn't have a soft spot for Hans would be a lie but even if she hadn't he'd gone out of his way to hunt her down. Ramsey placed the glass back on the table and rose to her feet. There wasn't a rush or panic to her movements. What was done was done, it just now needed to spun. altered into a picture that better suited the narrator. "You drive and tell me more."
Cigarette smoke exhaled in the direction of the poor fucker who mumbled something stupid and left a whole folder of documents on the counter, next to the glass of red the brunette was having.
The place was packed, Saher was so close to the two that the smoke could blanket the guy's head. He'd be up to her chest, if she wasn't sitting down.
Her eyes scanned over the sheet out of sheer boredom — last will and testimant of blah blah —
"Your night's fucking ruined." a mocking kind of laugh.
Karma could bite her in the ass any fucking moment — pager tossed on the counter right next to a bowl of cashew. But Saher didn't believe in that sort of shit. No one could ruin her night.
That was what her new found friend was offered. Eyes flicked to the pager. outdated. nobody used pagers anymore expect for hospitality, doctors and her grandfather and the woman before her didn't look like she fit the first or the third option so doctor it was.
Her ego told her neuro or cardiology - hell plastics was a good option as well they thought they were gods gift.
Ramsey brought the glass of wine to her lips and took a slow sip before nodding towards the bartender. Trouble got her many things and a few months back this very place had a scandal of their own that Ramsey buried. She could drink here for free but she never did.
"Our friend here appears to be on call," Eyes flicker to the pager on the table. "make sure she's only served soft drinks."

A smirk played on Tori's lips. She wondered if there was ever time when Ramsey's voice wasn't laced with annoyance. Maybe when she was mad it was laced with hot fury or even better — piercing disappointment. She imagined the woman to never let her emotions get pass her boiling blood, remaining the ice-cold mask of utter calmness. "Oh, trust me, it is good." Offering a glass of wine for herself, Vittoria leaned back in her chair. "Have you seen the front page of today's newspaper?" She questioned and before the other could even answer, she placed a copy on the table. The news of yet another mega political scandal plastered across the top half of the page. "Wasn't he one of yours?"
"I haven't" She admitted, mainly because she'd been trapped at the 104th precinct for the majority of the day with a client who had been wrongly accused. She'd been tipped off to his arrest by a detective friend and while her days of ruling the court room were over she still found herself putting her license to work occasionally. Now she was here calming placing the half empty glass down on the table as she picked up the paper. Eyes scanning the headline quickly before the first paragraph merely searching for a name at first. "He wasn't" She announced. "But he may need to be soon -- this is a mess."
Negativity, is almost a foreign word in Luke's dictionary, at the least from his mouth. The taller man could not help but laugh at her words, ordering a drink for himself, and turning to her, taking a sit across from her. ❛ How's your day, love? You look stressed, try not to be. It gives you wrinkles. ❜
the laugh that passes her lips sounded unfamiliar for a moment. It was refreshing, soft and stress free. She offered him a nod. "It sure does, but sometimes its the nature of business. Just a long day at work thats all. Nothing a relaxing evening can't fix."
Luke feels like a new man, after getting his wedding annulled. Nothing would ruin his good mood. And he sees Ramsey, with a sly smile creeping on his face. ❛ I am in love with my new acquisition. Thanks for my TED talk. What's got you so on nerves? ❜
"Happiness looks good on you," she admitted before leaning backwards in her chair. "Was just trying to enjoy a few moments of peace was worried you were going to bring negativity into my peace-filled moment."
open: to anyone
"You're interrupting my drink so this better be good." Ramsey rarely took breaks where she treated herself to anything, but every Friday she found herself at the local pub for the best sandwich on the block and a fine glass of red wine. the unexpected visitor lowering themselves across from her hadn't gone unnoticed, but she hadn't acknowledged them at first. A sigh escaped her lips before she looked up. "This better be good."
The only daughter of a high powered attorney and a governor. Ramsey’s life had been set up for success. Much like her siblings (three older brothers) her fate to fall into their families foot steps was sealed young; debate club, student government, honor classes – all of which would pave their way to success.
While Ramsey’s brothers had followed in their fathers foot steps. Ramsey had followed in her mothers. Princeton for her undergrad (poli sci and sociology), Georgetown Law. After Georgetown Law she started with her mothers firm in DC where she spent a few years practicing law but it hadn’t given her the satisfaction she had been looking for in life.
Instead of fighting for clients inside the court room, Ramsey decided she wanted to fight for them outside of it. Be the Galliador that they needed when everyone else gave up on them. So Ramsey opened up her own firm. It was small and struggled at first though it wasn’t long before her older brother was calling her for help.
“Secrets always come out, Jake.” The word “out” was stressed harder, annoyance laced her voice. “There is a very dead woman in your bathroom. So if you want to remain in office for a second term without your wife finding out about this,” Her hand waived towards the bathroom. “You’re going to sit down and tell me everything you remember. Then –” She inhaled a breath. “I’m going to fix this because its what I do and nobody is better than me at what I do.”
Fix it was exactly what she did. Jake’s run for reelection was never tarnished and his wife never suspected a thing.
While DC had always been her home – Ramsey had needed a fresh start to get out of her families shadow and do her own thing. Bringing Valentine and Associates a consulting firm for crisis that needed to be managed to NYC has proven to be the right move for both her and her business. Though her time as a lawyer had been short, Ramsey had found that she was good at making other peoples problems disappear. She has been thriving in NYC and often called upon by those in need to make their problems disappear.

Ramsey has been in NYC for a few years now and her business is thriving. Its now a team of four (some with law degress others with backgrounds that make them assets.)
— WANTED CONNECTIONS / PLOTS
Gladiators in suits (4) - hard chargers, come from different backgrounds and stand by what V&A is fighting to do in NYC.
siblings (3 M) - Her family is everything to her and while she doesn't live as close to them anymore they talk often. Maybe one of them even works with her or has moved to NYC as well.
note this isn't perfect but I love her and I left plot holes for plotting purposes.
