Ok. Ok fine. I'm sorry for expressing my opinion, and I realize I did it in a rude way. But everyone ganging up on me and being salty was really blowing this out of proportion. I didn't think it would cause this much backlash, and I don't want anymore drama. I'm sorry. I could have worded my stuff better. I really just want this to be over with. Just tell everyone that. Because my opinion is out there now that everyone's reblogging it and it's gonna make more people I request angry.
The thing is, if I had a smallblog, you never would have received this much attention. I would have laughedit off like I originally did and pretended like it didnāt hurt my feelings. Thenthe next time I started writing for Vegeta Loves Kakarot, what you said wouldhave just been another painful comment Iād try to bury in the back of my mindalong with the rest of the negative criticism Iāve received about my character.And Iām sure you would have went about with your day and never really thoughtabout what you said ever again, because in your mind, itās just an opinion youhad about a story you read.Ā
But I donāthave a small blog. Not only do a lot of people follow me who have read the samestory, but Iām also friends with tons of fanfic writers who also would havebeen very hurt to randomly see a comment like that on their dashboard. So thenthe resulting drag you received took place.

you wouldhave felt some sort of emotional reaction, unless youāre an automaton. Maybe you would have reblogged it in confusion like I did. Andif you had a lot of followers, naturally a significant amount of people wouldhave reacted to it as well.
The feelingI have isnāt anger.Ā This isnāt the first time Iāve received criticism orstrong opinions about my writing. I know how to take it, and Iāve never actedout or raged publicly about them, even though I have received comments beforethat literally made me cry for a whole day. But I hide it because writers, unlike fan artists, areexpected to take any sort of criticism with a straight face.
The onlydifference here is that a ton of people saw what you said, and they, too, had anopinion about it. And like you did, they freely expressed that opinion the waythey best saw fit.Ā
The nicething about the drama surrounding you is that in a day or less, all of thiswill blow over. Itāll just be a bad or funny memory youāll think about lateron. But unlike me, youāve never poured hundreds of hours into a story you getno compensation for writing. And youāll never have to deal with self-doubt thatwill probably last for your whole writing career. And that, literally, is areal drag.
