Something vaguely whiskey related [okay, dubiously.] Every other Friday or so I bartend for my coworkers, giving them a choice between cocktails or just picking a theme. I generally post about it on my Instagram under the hashtag #cocktailsforcoworkers if you wanna keep up. 

This week I’m making margarita’s. I murdered a few dozen limes, added a healthy dose of Eli Mason’s Gomme Syrup to help even it out, and added several dashes of Bar Le Lab Lim’Tonik lime bitters to give my margarita mix some added complexity. Bulleit whiskey bottles make excellent reusable containers, whether it’s home made syrups or mixes, as water bottles, or anything else you can come up with. 

Anywho, just wanted to share this with you. I’ll be recapping the launch of those Lim’Tonik bitters soon, it was a fantastic event. They even made a Peat Martini with Ardbeg & Belvedere and it was amazing. 

Whenever whiskey companies or craft ingredient makers send me their products, I always ask if they have a signature cocktail or recommendation. They know their product and how best to enjoy it. Beehive Bitters sent me over his variation on a whiskey sour:

2oz Bulleit Whiskey

1oz Lemon Juice

½ Sleeve Orange Bitters

1/2tsp Powdered Sugar

Shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass with one large cube & add a cherry to garnish.
