take your votes people who are interested in the re:legend game ive been screaming over for the last few months do you think story progression will be based on

A, there are story items you have to collect that are hidden behind bosses! mini bosses, legendary bosses EvIL emPiRe  npc bosses! fight them and gain a story segment

B: be lead to a designated cut scene where you meet the town, learn stuff for the tutorial, be thrown into the ocean most likely by the fueding chef siblings, and adventure to other towns that you CANT upgrade and meet the people who live there!

C, its linked to how much you have worked on your town! the bigger and better your town the more story locations and thus story segements are unlocked for you, make the town your own! overthrow the mayor! live your best life as all-but-the-towns- sherif as you do request for people, build their homes, be a big source of income for them, most likely put people in jail, and sit in on political issues with the mayor for story segements 

D, FOUR CRYSTALS, GET IM, OWN THEM, LICK THEM, SAVE THE WORLDWITH MAGIC TREE CRYSTALS!!!

E, lol whats a overarching plot? you live on an island full of fantastical monsters you can tame, people you can befriend, and a economy you can destroy by not being afraid of a spooky forest not that deep fam

F, time of year???based???story progression???? like in game year, idk the thought of it kinda peeves me 

I think id actually be pretty happy watching this little guy eat while waiting for things to load

ok so I was recently linked to a document noting down things the developers have said about the game by the nice @ramfet and in that document it said some interesting things that has me thinking

one, we will have multiple save files (THANK ALL THAT IS HOLY)

two, they are trying to get the ok from the government to allow same sex marriage in their game (best of luck!)

I’m also curious as to what they mean by “perks.” At first I assumed it might be yes, discounts, or even different tasks your spouse can perform to help you (i.e. foraging or collecting materials, farming, maybe crafting or cooking for you) - but it definitely would be a lot nicer if we gained certain status effects or bonuses to our own proficiencies as well/instead!

Well, it’s not the concept I wanted to win (rip Magnus Concept A), but I guess I’m still satisfied. It’s described as “one of the most beautiful crystallized Magnus you can discover in game,” which kind of implies that there will be more crystal (or gem-based?) Magnus to find, so I guess that’s pretty cool.

thats insane! no wonder there spending so much time working on this game the animations needed to be perfected alone! taking account of all the magnus walking animations andhow they may radically differ, and then thinking of the flying and swiming magnus, and thats a lot to take into account

And since every Magnus is both tamable and ridable, it means they have to animate not only several different battle animations (and farming, mining, and woodcutting ones as well I believe) for while they fight alongside you, but while you ride them as well! So I would definitely agree that the wait has been pretty understandable. I imagine it’ll be pretty worth it, too!

As for a higher layer for flying Magnus, that definitley does seem plausible. Although I do recall reading somewhere that the devs said something about the flying Magnus looking less like they were flying and “more like they are floating.”
