Baby boy was leading his troops in foreign territory and implored them to make it back alive. He was the one to have them train and prepare to their best potentials. He was the individual who worked tirelessly to make sure that they were ready for any and all probable scenarios when entering into this terrifying situation.

Canon events aside, he’s the absolute best and I love how the fandom has humanized him to such an extreme level.

Levi has seen too much deaths and damage he doesn’t want his subordinates to suffer what he did. He is loving these children in his own ways and I think that just touched my soul.
