My gf lives 4 hours away and we haven’t seen each other in a month but honestly I would wait forever for her. I might see her this weekend, and I can’t wait to kiss her for the first time in awhile. If not this weekend we’ll see each other next weekend when we go to a concert together. The second time her and I hung out we saw my favorite band and I couldn’t stop staring at her, she looked so beautiful with the stage lights reflecting off her face. I met my girlfriend after I wrote a book about two girls falling in love and she messaged me about it on Twitter (yeah, she’s got game). After a month of texting/calling/Facetiming, I bought a flight to New York to meet her. Turning the corner for baggage claim and spotting her at the end of the hallway was the fastest my heart ever beat. We’ve been together almost a year now. She has the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen. When she goes home to see her family, she leaves Post-It notes for all her siblings telling them how much she loves them. Over Valentine’s weekend, she spent 20 minutes wiping dust off my fan so my allergies wouldn’t be as bad. We love drinking fancy cocktails on nights out, but we also love cooking together on nights in. Whenever we fly somewhere together, she holds my clammy hands and tells me the turbulence is normal. Last summer, we went to the pool and played tea party under the water like little kids, but we were also flirting above the water and this scandalized old woman was doing the “Harold, they’re lesbians!” face. Let me tell you: when someone figures out you’re queer because you’re so obviously in love and having fun, you just stop giving a damn. 

My gf is a doctor and has been working nights, so if I’m around when she crawls into bed during the day she always asks me to “come cuddle”, and I’ll lay next to her until she falls asleep while she koala-hugs my arm. Her cute little sleeping head is resting on my shoulder right now. We have a cat called Moggie whom everyone thinks is a boy because we gave her a blue collar, and the walls of our little flat are covered in pictures of all the places we’ve been together. It’s been 2 years and I still get squeezy heart feelings when I look at her :)

My lovely wife is working out of state right now. She flies home every two weeks for the weekend and jets away on Monday. I miss her terribly. Currently, I’m cuddled up in bed with our four dogs, my laptop is sitting open on the nightstand, screen dark as my beautiful wife sleeps. She’s two time zones away, but always makes time for me. She’s about to begin med school in the fall so I’m job hunting where her school is right now. We’re looking at houses to buy and looking for renters to buy the house we own here. I met her on tumblr, we lived 2000 miles apart and dated long distance for 8 months, which is when she graduated undergrad and I graduated law school. She moved in with me, supported me as I study for the bar. We were married just over a year later and have now been married nearly two years. I love her with all my heart and can’t wait to being our new adventure together. She’s the best! I love you sweetheart.

My wife and I met when we were 16, we met, became best friends immediately and fell in love, then started dating a year later after she kissed me because i was too scared to make a move. This year will be 13 years for us, we’ve been married 4 of those. She’s asleep next to me right now making the cutest sleep noises in my ear. My wife is at the other end of the couch I’m writing this from. Our 13th anniversary is in two weeks. She saw me in the bookstore I worked at and told her friend “I’m gonna marry her.” Two months later she actually talked to me and I fell hard for her. We’ve moved across the country. Gone on so many road trips. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs and work and write together. We drink too much coffee and stay up too late watching foreign films on Netflix and then get up and start all over again. I love our life together even more every day.

After 6 years of trying, my wife is pregnant and we heard our baby’s heartbeat for the first time yesterday. We took an egg from me and she will be giving birth to our baby in October. nbd.

i’ve only been seeing my girlfriend for a few weeks but we were friends for about a year before that and we bonded over the fact that we have the same favourite band so i’ve shared some of my happiest memories e.g. going to concerts and parties and meeting musicians we both admire with her and we’re moving to our favourite city in a few months and we’re going to adopt kittens and we’ve already got plans for how we’re going to decorate our house and she’s so selfless and clever and funny and i’m so happy

my girlfriend is the most beautiful angel in the world!!! we have been together almost a year and a half and we are long distance rn (I’m New York she’s cali) but she’s coming to visit me in a little over a month and we are going to go to a show at the Guggenheim and hang out and do cute things!!!!!! she is so smart and kind and loving, she is always so patient with me when I’m being anxious and irrational and she never ever ever bullshits me about anything, like she doesn’t just say what I want to hear because she thinks it’s what I want to hear, she’s always honest. She is the sweetest girl and she makes every person she comes across smile and laugh, even the crankiest people. she is super hilarious and loves terrible puns!!!!!! I also think she should dye her hair blue but she is a beautiful blonde right now and she will look amazing no matter what!!!!!! one day I’m going to move to California and we’re going to live in a happy sunny house by the beach with an art studio out back and lots of happy bright colors and we’re going home to have two cats, a German shepherd, and four babies (because I love kids and really want to be a mom one day and I KNOW she will make a great mom too!!!!!!!)

my girlfriend is the best and most beautiful person ive ever met and she makes me happier than i ever thought i could be. she lives 6 hours away and we’ve been together for over a year and a half we met when we were 16 years old and i feel like im the person i am today because of her. i am so so so lucky to have her in my life and i just know we were meant to be together and that even if we didn’t meet when we were 16 we would have met sometime later for sure. next year we are going to either be in the same city in college together or only be a few hours away and finally get to see each other any time we like. i can’t wait for so many years with her to come. she is the light of my life and i am so so in love with her.

tuesday is my 6 month anniversary with my gf!! theyre wonderful and amazing and genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever known, and theyre soft and gentle and so funny and we love watching crime docos and danish crime dramas. last night we went to mardi gras and today we showered together so i could help get rid of all the glitter. they make me so happy i love them so much!!!!

Honestly, I think the beauty industry is awful and I think beauty standards are 100% used to oppress women everywhere, and it’s a huge disservice to women worldwide when liberal feminists are so defensive of something that clearly was imposed by men on women.
