Dear Tumblr,
You have been a good, and maybe, sometimes bad place for me.
but let’s get to the point, sometimes I’ve often wondered where certain people I’ve loved and admired have gone from the site, on here and sometimes on flickr. And I’ve searched for them, sometimes scanning through old posts to find the most recent thing they wrote, any explanation as to where they are now, in life and on the internet. Sometimes they’ve left social media behind with a little digging, and sometimes they’ve closed their accounts, deleted old photos, a sad little empty box when you scroll over their old username and no trace for me to find them. And I wonder where they’ve gone and if they’re happy, if they’ve found another place to escape. Internet friends or just strangers, I miss them and wish them so much joy.
Now I’m not going to assume any of you have felt the same way about me but incase you have, I wanted to leave something behind. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be using this site much anymore, but I’m so thankful for what it’s given me.
