MAL wanted to have some “real photo’s” taken on the beach, why not, she’s beautiful. This day in midsummer was perfect. We spent about two hours on the beach. She slowly strolled along the water's edge stopping occasionally reaching down to sift the sand and recover what was a treasure to her. Other times she would drag the toe of her shoe through the sand as if to brake her momentum. She turned her head to stare off to the horizon, the ocean's edge. As I continued shooting I found myself wondering, what is is this girl thinking of, what does she see in her minds eye. It's fun type of shoot. "Go for a walk, do your thing." I use a longer lens to remain out of range; no conversation, no interaction, no sound of the camera click. The sound of your feet in the sand, the waves, the wind and the occasional seagull laugh in the distance.
