Saved by grace

You just finished watching that series. Suddenly, your heart dips into your stomach. You don’t know whether you’re happy or empty. It’s just that the emotions wash over you like a tidal wave. Then, weirdly enough, you seem to be a little out of breath, knowing that it’s finally the end. Then, you start to think if there will be any other drama that can rise above or even be at par with what you just watched. You stare off into space, realizing just how attached you are to the characters, and secretly wishing that it wouldn’t have come to a close.

But then, after a few days, you find yourself moving on. There’s still that little squeeze in your heart, but you’re slowly letting go. But you have to admit though, that the memories catch you off-guard sometimes, like a trap door on the floor that you fall into. It is nostalgic. But you know you’ll get over it.
