Been awhile since I dumped anything here. Might as well do that because I should be populating this sideblog with some cool art or whatever.

Anyways, here's an OC I've got stuck in my head for a long time now and someone who is meant to be the protagonist of a Hazbin Hotel fanfic that refuses to manifest into a draft because I have too many goddamn WIPs.

I've got notes on their backstory and everything, but I won't really say much other than the fact that it's pretty traumatic because their father was abusive and restricted everything they did like the religious zealot he was. So they struck a soul contract with someone powerful in order to gain knowledge they were denied.

As you can see, their color scheme is very different from a lot of Sinners who usually have red in them. DW, there's a thematic reason for that (that and because I actually don't want to use that amount of red). I drew inspiration from serpents, feathered archosaurs, and Medusa's snake hair for their design. Also, the original picrew I used had a rafflesia and I loved how it looks, so it's going in the final design for sure.

Other stuff to know about this little nerd:

Leith is Filipino and learned animism from their grandmother (before their father barred them from learning anything unless it connects to Catholicism).

When they woke up in Hell, they were holding a worn out tome and a coin with a sigil engraved in it, along with the ability to sense souls and a knack for some kind of magic.

They live in an apartment in a block within the Pride Ring, sharing the space with an incubus named Ginger Spice. The longer they've been in Hell, the longer their space is cluttered with plants and other botanical stuff.

Their magic or spells manifest in either Baybayin, geometric or cosmic shapes, or something tied to animism.

Incoming mild-rant below because I'm a preemptive bastard who is paranoid of immature fans coming for my ass:

I made this months ago but here: my depiction of Marco from Adastra. I saw HAPS’ non-canon sketch of him and thought, “hey this is neat; I’ll give it a shot too”. I tried to design him based on Keith Ballard’s video analysis of the game, where he described Marco (in extension us, the player) as “the hot one” that Amicus must win over. I have no idea if I succeeded in making Marco “hot”, but I did design him using my own idea of what an attractive dude is hehe.

For anyone who has no idea what Adastra is....Well, basically it’s a gay furry visual novel featuring political drama, some existential and cosmic horror, and of course hot alien wolf men. If you’re intrigued, the game is free and you can download it to play for yourself. I’m still gearing myself up because I hear it’s an emotional game and I’m easily reduced to tears at the slightest of angst  ╥﹏╥

I drew this as a belated Mother’s Day gift, but it’s also for MerMay month because mermaid.

Here is Atargatis, or at least my depiction of her in a really old story of mine. According to the internet, she is the following:

Atargatis is said to be the mermaid who was the original inspiration for all mermaid stories. She was an Assyrian Goddess. She was said to be the goddess of the moon, fertility and water and was worshipped 3000-4000 years ago in ancient Assyria and later all over the Mediterranean.

I gave her a different body type compared to most characters I’ve designed in the past. Hers is curvier and thicker, which is appropriate to her mother goddess status.

My contribution to MerMay Month. This one’s a really old OC of mine from 2015-2016. His name is Keoki Hoku and he’s the successor of the goddess Atargatis, who faded in time after humans no longer had faith and worshiped her. He lives in Hawaii with his two best friends, Keawe and Anuhea. Both aid him on his quest to retrace the steps of his predecessor and take on her mantle. Or it goes something like that, at least. I’m still figuring out the plot.

His tail shape is a lunate, which is present in fast moving fish IRL, like tuna, marlins, and swordfish. I think it’s a funny coincidence because Atargatis is also a goddess of the moon. Keoki’s tail is crescent-shaped, and his surname means “night of the full moon”. I dropped off moon stuff without realizing it until recently lmao

So you stumbled into this sideblog of mine somehow (or got sent here via link, whether from me or someone else). That’s pretty neat.

In any case, I’m glad you’re here. As my description says, this is a blog dedicated to being a receptacle for all of my art that has nothing to do with, say, other blogs connected to certain stories of mine, like Soulbound Mechanica and FNaF: Anamnesis. So in short, it’s a miscellaneous portfolio.

I would have posted it in my main blog but I reblog more than actually post there. Not to mention, that’s where I willingly fluff up my feathers and pick fights with anybody regarding social justice, so.....yeah. Unideal.

Feel free to have a look around. And support me potentially, if you’re able. I always do appreciate that sort of thing. Something something support the artist/content creator or whatever.

I’m not going to put up DNIs here, but I do expect a level of modicum and respect when it comes to topics, pairings, and franchises that you don’t like, and to moderate your online experience accordingly. I won’t tolerate witch hunts and cyberbullying of any kind. It doesn’t matter if that person you’re targeting is consuming content you don’t agree with; you are actively making their life worse via threats of violence. They are living, breathing people who can be affected deeply by what you’ve done, so please be responsible and never punch down.
