CONTENT WARNINGS
The ongoing story of the rainbirdsky blog has several themes that may be uncomfortable or upsetting to some readers/viewers.
While I attempt to keep theย artย I create and post safe to view, adult characters within the story suffer:

(Teal/Rainbird, the characters these tags affect are Spirits/Adults - while Tealโs siblings had a crappy childhood - hence the child abuse warning - I will never show that or go into detail because frankly I donโt want to. Essentially they were murdered. I donโt want to go into it more than that.)

I started playing Sky in September 2020 so I'm relatively new to the game. I'm essentially a fancy moth with an interest in OOB exploration and a more recent interest in Sky lore. I take a lot of screenshots because they're a really cool/useful art reference when it comes to limited colour palettes and lighting, as well as helping me work out the story of Skyโs downfall.
I have a few Sky OCs.ย The OC youโll see most is Teal/Signet, the self-insert with the duck mask. This blog was named afterย Rainbird, a character named after myself whoโs grown into their own separate character. As mod/player I generally wear Duck Mask (or play Teal) as itโs my favourite mask in the game and Iโm very happy it returned!
TEAL AND RAINBIRD ARE ADULT SPIRITS. Rainbird died 22-24 years old and Teal died 28-30 years old. DO NOT SHIP THEM AT ALL.
I'm a bit awkward but generally happy to help where I can. I will be uncomfortable if minors ask to befriend me, but Iโm open to chatting to other adult players. After it was pointed out to me some Tumblr users send messages on Anon so they donโt interact with fandoms with their main blogs I decided to keep Anon asks open but I will delete/ignore rude or inappropriate questions. yesterday i thought about changing up romigโs feathers to better fit the whole nightbird association they have with it,, but to be honest i still really like their black feathers that were based off of their black cape,,, their dark color palette in general helps them contrast with pb whos mainly in lighter colors
romig may look like their creature is dark but is actually light!! meanwhile its vice versa for pb (except you already can tell theyre a bully just from the way they hold themself ๐ญ๐ญ)
i might actually keep this design too as like.. an alternate form.. dunno how exactly i can integrate it storywise but whatevr

The new feature, "Colored Light" introduced in the Season of Radiance, allows players to collect eight different base colors that will become available to gather from burning special Dark Plants in the realms. Use these base colors as their own dye, or mix them to create a total 72 colors!
The dye feature can be used with existing items too: Many of your capes, pants, tunics, and more have dyeable areas for you to customize! Preview possible color combinations as you select your favorites. Once you've decided and dyed your design, you can save up to two dyed versions of an item with the "Outfit Styles" option.
Additionally, dyes can not only be obtained by burning dye plants in realms but also from Season of Radiance spirits and future event guides

Kinda been needing a break from some stuff I been working on so have some mega bird digital drawings because I think she is neat in all her cosmic glory. It helped me feel a little better too. ^^
protagonists can and will be sexist, racist, insensitive, cruel, stupid, etc, especially towards the beginning of a story. these are called character flaws and they are a surprise tool that will lead to narrative fulfillment later
And sometimes "narrative fulfillment" doesn't mean "the character overcomes their flaws" or even "the antihero is punished for their flaws"! sometimes it means the narrative says "wow was that fucked up or what? anyway i'm rod sterling"
