Rai Banda Photography

Photographer Rai Banda began his career in photography in 1969. He was given a classical education by Norman Parkinson Famous Fashion photographer in 1977,and later 1n 1997 work with Lewis Morley IN sydney, and at a very early age Rai displayed his rare talent for photography. In 1980, Rai moved to Sydney and in 1981 travelled to Milan where he was based for a few years later to produce a collection widely known as the ‘Milan Series’.Rocky Horror show Max Phipps 1975 series  After more than a decade Rai met with renowned photographer, Lewis Morley, who arranged the ‘Fully Exposed’ one man show for Rai that was opened by Karen Jane Eyre, editor of BLACK + WHITE Magazine at the time. Rai has a collection within the State Library of Victoria where his iconic 70’s fashion images and Australian streetscape are included. Rai has held countless global exhibitions including, Victorian’s on Vacation 2007-2009, State Library of Victoria and represented Australia in the ‘World Tour Exhibition 1998-1999’ represented by Watermarks Publishing. The tour started at the Jacob Javits Building, New York followed by the National Exhibition Centre in London, Hamburg Block Hacker Fine Art and the Frankfurt Art Fair. Rai has made photography an art form, taking memorable shots across the world with images gracing the pages of countless publications including Vogue and BLACK + WHITE Magazine.
