Now that I think about it... Hugo's betrayal would have made more sense if he'd been threatened into helping Donella for once. I mean, at one point Donella threatened him into helping her preserve the library after Varian managed to open it if he didn't want Varian, Nuru, and Yong to get hurt, even going so far as to "promise" that they would never find out Hugo's role in all of this. (Something we know didn't happen because Donella is a spiteful woman who wanted revenge on Hugo for daring to turn on her.)

The song "waiting in the wings" is good, but it would have been better if he was in the first season.
Imagine: Cassandra singing this after being ignored by her father, or even after her father shows favoritism to another guard (like Eugene or another) and scolds her for not being with the princess as she should be. (It could also be given a sexist context.)
This song would give more weight to the end of the season where she is finally getting the recognition she deserves by being assigned to guide and lead the army in the Battle of Old Corona.

If they think about it, the whole Cassandra Lesbian and Cassuzel thing is made up of headcannons, the show's obvious queerbaiting, inane jokes that don't affirm or confirm anything, and "confirmations" from team members who have no say in the development of the show.
I still don't understand Chris's logic in wanting us to feel sorry for Frederic AFTER SEEING HIM BEHAVE LIKE A FUCKING TYRANT.
Seriously, if he wanted us to understand and feel compassion for him so much, why the hell did he make the "joke" about sending someone to jail for a simple mistake? Why the hell did he force him to chase after a kid who didn't do anything to him directly? Why the hell did he force him to lock up his daughter, who spent 18 FUCKING YEARS LOCKED UP IN A TOWER, IN ANOTHER FUCKING TOWER?

Why didn't they make the black rocks a direct consequence of plucking the flower? I mean, instead of making up the whole thing about King Edmund trying to destroy the moonstone, they could have made it so the moonstone was perfectly fine until that idiot Frederic decided to pluck the Sundrop Flower, which caused an imbalance and caused the moonstone to react and start hunting down the sundrop, destroying everything in its path.

I've been thinking, and... Can them imagine what it would be like if Donella had been named and referenced in Tangled: The Series as a brilliant and famous alchemist and engineer that even Varian himself admires?
Something like, "This science exhibition is very important. The winner will not only win a simple first-place ribbon, but will also earn a place in the science society and the great opportunity to enter Lady Donella's science program for young talents."
It would be quite devastating for Varian to discover that one of the great scientists he admired is the one who has been stalking him for months and is apparently the one who made his mother "disappear."
Also, it could be that one of the moments of connection between Varian and Hugo is of them rambling about one of Donella's inventions.
They could also make the lower class people of Ingvarr admire her because Donella has also done things for them, such as giving them jobs, creating aid programs, and taking in street children and teenagers (not for really good things, but still).
I'm confused about the magic thing. Is it normal in the world of Tangled or not? Because in the movie, they imply that it's not normal and that Corona is just a normal kingdom from the 17th or 18th century. But in the series, there's magic and fantastical creatures everywhere, and everyone acts like it's normal.
Hey, where's Cassandra's reason for taking the moon stone and following the orders of a ghost that came out of nowhere?
I've been reading a lot of analysis and criticism of Rapunzel, and I've noticed that many people say the reason she can't be seen as the bad guy is because she's a "Disney princess" and always has to be seen as the perfect, good person in the story. But then, why the hell did they make her so insufferable and idiotic?
They didn't even make an effort to properly build her character! They simply made her the typical selfish, insufferable, and bad-friend princess, who, if you tell her she's wrong, you automatically become the bad guy.
Are they going to kick Varian out of the castle in a STORM after desperately seeking HELP for his father? We could have Nigel pressure Rapunzel to come back inside by telling her he was going to “take care of” Varian and then have the guards throw him into the storm and then when Rapunzel finds out she wants to go help him but her dad stops her from leaving and watches her 24/7 from now on so she doesn’t realize the true danger of the rocks by promising he already took care of them and would send “help” to Varian… No it’s better to have her stand there like an idiot watching her FRIEND get swept away by a storm that she knows can KILL HIM.
Seriously, Disney should have canceled the show or at least set limits so that the series doesn't end up ruining Rapunzel.
This is how this scene was for me:
Varian: These rocks have been reliving my amber trauma all day.
Rapunzel: I understand. It also makes me see my greatest fear: Losing Cassandra as a friend forever.
