MEDICAL AND FINANCIAL EMERGENCY.

In January, I was a victim of Trans Assault. (FTM) I was at a birthday party when rumors had been spread that I born a girl and while I live in a not so tolerant state (MO), I was pushed after someone screaming the word “FAGGOT!” at me. While being pushed, I tried to regain my foot before hitting the DJ Booth and I failed. In the process, my leg landed the wrong way and I was rushed to the ER after blacking out inside the hookah lounge. 

I waited for almost 7 hours. I was pumped with morphine shots and given an immobilizer and crutches. Before leaving I was told they think I tore my ACL. After a few more tests and scans through out the following weeks, I learned my ACL had been torn to shreds and I would need to have my ACL reconstructed and I go in to surgery on the 28th of this month (February. Which is tomorrow.) 

My ER bill was almost 2,000$. Due to this injury I could no longer perform my duties as a waiter at my job and I had to quit. This means I have no form of income. My art isn’t selling well, and I have nowhere to turn. In America, we don’t get free health care. Which is why I’m asking for help.

I’m desperate. If my ER bill was that much, the though of how much this surgery is going to cost is going to blow my mind. Medication, food, physical therapy..the cost is adding up. All because I was confident and people found out I was not born in the correct body.
