— jason loves to be curled up by the fireplace with you, movies playing in the background with the christmas tree up as well as any kind of other decors. he really isn’t a festive person, he enjoys spending the holidays with you but he isn’t a big fan of going all out — the decorating is somewhat fun and different from his usual celebrations, though.

so, that’s why you were here, outside in the cold with colorful strings of lights wrapped around anything and everything they could, various inflatables covering your yard, and your beautiful (but slightly annoying) boyfriend in the middle of all of it — did you agree to this? no. would you given the choice? maybe. maybe only because he was cute, and the smile on his face was so bright and big when you pulled into the driveway.

“joey… what in gods name is all of this?” you weren’t angry, obviously, but you just wondered how and why he got all of this. “what do you mean? it’s christmas! that means decorating, hun!” you could only sigh, sure he looked happy and excited, but he’d really gone all out to show you how ‘fun’ and ‘amazing’ the holidays were — and starting with christmas you’d presumed.

the display as a whole looked like a messy disaster, it wasn’t set-up the greatest but that’s because he’d done it all by himself. yet, you smiled back at him, you didn’t want to think about the long and tedious clean up that would come after december (and you’d probably wait a bit in january before you really started to get rid of all of it) because he just made you forget about it. it was cute, and a semi-romantic gesture — which you appreciated.
