Shelsea and Brenden – Ah, this couple was amazing! They are inseparable – holding hands, sweet kisses and snuggles. This couple oozes grace and elegance, and the bride never stops smiling. The groom is a gentleman from a time past.
They enjoyed a four year engagement to ensure their wedding could be everything they dreamed of. No detail was overlooked or skimped on – some subtle, some bold, but all perfect!
On the big day, they were overjoyed to savor every moment. It all began with a beautiful afternoon garden wedding enhanced with a string quartet provided by South Sound Strings!
The ceremony represented the couple perfectly, embracing both of their heritage, with a rose ceremony to honor their mothers and several cultural traditions: a Norwegian Crowning Ceremony and Two Hispanic ceremonies–Arras (13 coins) and Lasso, and a Hand Fastening Ceremony (wrapping hands with ribbon).
After cocktail hour, there was a Grand entrance from the beautiful staircase inside Thornewood Castle. This was followed by the bride and groom’s choreographed first dance, before enjoying a plated dinner.
Surprise second grand entrance: bride and groom snuck upstairs for a wardrobe change….the music stopped, lights went down, laser lights illuminated the room to reveal visitors (the bride and groom!) had been beamed down in Star Trek uniforms! Followed by the cutting of the second cake, the USS Enterprise!
Before the final send off, the couple snuck off a second time for another wardrobe change, back into her dress and his military uniform, for an elegantly royal send-off in a vintage Rolls Royce.
Here are some other amazing details about the day!
