Hereâs a Dustin-centered excerpt from my no Timeskip ST5 Fantasy Rewrite
Dustin suddenly hated mail. He. . . really hates mail.
He had checked the mail for his mom and got two letters, one was from Susie. The other from Eddieâs uncle.
So, wanting to not get all fussed up then he already was for the past week, he reads Susieâs. And well.
I apologize for writing a letter instead of sending a call but my father has gotten extremely ill with me. I am very sorry for what I have to say but I do not think we can keep this relationship up. This is for both of our sakes. If you wish to send me a letter in reply, I will take it but this is the only letter I will be able to send.
I love you but it has seemed that I can not do that in this life.
Which dowered his mood into the dumps, he also knew what the other letter was. What else could it be?
He slams that into his pocket as he radios Lucas, âDustin to Lucas, Lucas. Are you awake? overâ
Dustin doesnât really care for a reply as he already walks over to his bike, he already told his mom heâd be out today.
âDustin to Lucas, Are you awake? Iâm heading over, over,â Dustin replies with a more frustrated tone.
If he doesnât get a reply soon enough, maybe heâll bike to the school and use the labs. Mr. Clarke had given the key to him anyways. It would be a useful bit of time.
âLucas to Dustin, Iâm awake. Iâm awake, what do you want Iâm at the hospital, over,â Dustin groans, he. . . he loves Max, sheâs a great friend. Hates being in hospitals. Hates looking at her body lay there in a coma.
Dustin stops on the sidewalk to reply, âNevermind, do you want to go to the arcade later? over.â
Thereâs a silence as Dustin begins to bike again, changing directions to the school. He needed to work with his hands. Needed some distraction of some kind
I swear he gets a happy ending. Heâs just angsty. Very teenage angst. Very much Dipnicky (not actually)
