☆ oh shit it’s him. the most bulliable project sekai character. 

☆ a sixteen year old who has the world’s worst case of imposter syndrome 

☆ loves music! so much. so much that he works himself to either a sore voice or passing out from exhaustion because it’s one of the few things he’s not naturally gifted at - meaning he has to work ten times harder than anyone else

☆ has been told that’s he’s the weak link in both of his music groups despite being the most passionate about, and hardest working towards, their shared dreams. this only serves to fuel the above two points.

☆ very naturally talented at art! hates it because of a wombo-combo of daddy and sister issues. but mostly daddy issues. 

☆ also very naturally talented sports! left them behind because he felt he couldn’t put the energy into it to match people who take those things seriously. still loves playing soccer despite it, though will never play on a team again.

☆ kind of a tsundere.

☆ loves cute stuff! and sweets. especially cutely decorates sweets like pancakes and cheesecakes. will die before he lets you know this.

☆ talks about toya too much. his partner - music partner! obviously. 

// quick update! i keep akito current with canon for the jpn servers of the game - meaning i have a major update for him! as far as it going into a quick post like this, his age will be changed from 16 to 17 years old to follow the game's "timeskip".

some event ideas for akito will be below!

                  “ well , if you think it’s a bad idea i won’t . ”

                  while he didn’t understand akito’s thought process , he would always trust what he said . toya squats down to get a better look at one , looking between the weed and akito . 

                “ you should trust things a little more . ”

                  he blinks. 

                “ … i don’t know why i said that out loud. i’m sorry. but i doubt it’s something dangerous … you shouldn’t jump to bad conclusions from bad feelings you know ? ”

He bristles a little when Toya says that, furrowing his brows. That was weird to say, and he even immediately apologized for it but...Toya had a habit of just saying things sometimes, so maybe that wasn’t weird? But it was weird for him to so directly say something like that to his face.

Did he...do something to upset him? There wasn’t any way that he was still hung up on how he pushes himself to improve behind their backs, because he promised he’d rely on him and the others more, and he had been sticking to that promise as much as he was comfortable sticking to it.

“...you’re thinkin’ nothing of these flowers that popped up completely randomly overnight and are literally everywhere. Of course I’m going to jump to conclusions that its something bad. Normal plants don’t do that.”

              “ something feels weird ? ”

              he didn’t know if he would say that. that didn’t seem right … they were pretty . though , his ability to detect danger was pretty low … so akito was probably right . but , would akito have normally actually said that out loud ?  

            “ … you have a weird look on your face . are you okay ? ”

              his head tilts as he looks at the flowers .

            “ they are pretty . ”

“I’m fine, I think.” 

It was just an uneasy feeling, that he had. He didn’t like it, but was he fine? Yeah. Just because something bothered him like this, didn’t mean he wasn’t fine. Unless he had that feeling for a reason even he wasn’t aware of.

              when akito said he wanted to spend time together , he didn’t know what to expect . he knew it had to be something big - if it was any of their normal activities he would just tell him they were meeting for that reason .  

              not that he was complaining . he would agree to spend time with akito any day at any time . akito was just that important to him . but when they arrive , he can’t help but just look up at the castle with a sparkle in his eye . it was big and beautiful … like it was out of a fairytale .

              ah . but akito was talking to him . he gives a nod , reaching to take akito’s hand so he doesn’t get too lost .

            “ alright . what all is there to do ? ”

Akito takes Toya’s hand and offers it a small squeeze as he starts to lead him inside the palace, a shrug rolling off his shoulders.

“Dunno. I haven’t been in it yet, but from what I’ve heard there’s a couple different things.”

Maybe he should have come ahead of time to scope things out, speaking honestly. He could’ve made sure there was something Toya would actually like, that way. But knowing his partner the way he did - he’d just be happy to spend time together, and enjoy the sights. 

            the fond smile on his face never fades as he watches. this was the day that he met his sun after all - he would watch this all the time if he could. over and over. it might not be a big deal to a lot of people and he might be making it a bigger deal than akito was but –

            this day changed his life forever. 

            he reaches over, gentle taking akito’s hand in his own. it’s nothing big, just a small little act of affection for him and it wasn’t anything new between them. 

          “ akito. this is my favorite memory i think … ”

            his voice is quiet, even if he knew the other versions of them wouldn’t hear them. he won’t say anything else though, just letting the scene in front of them play out. 

          “ well i’m tall. it’s hard to miss me. ”

            the other toya let’s out a sigh. 

          “ toya. yours? ”

Akito blinks and glances down at their intertwined hands, a small blush on his face as he offers a small squeeze. He was used to holding hands with his partner at this point - just because they could, or to guide him through crowds - but it always served to embarrass him a little. Not that he minded that feeling.

Plus...it was just him, and Toya here. No one else.

“...it’s one of mine too.”

It wouldn’t kill him to be a little more honest about that. Toya always had a way to get him to speak openly, where he wouldn’t normally do so. He knew exactly why, and it all traced back to this moment, replaying before them.

Partners, were always open with each other. 

“Akito,” his younger self starts, puffing his chest out like it would make him look cooler, holding out his hand to gesture as he continues talking. “You’re a little rough around the edges, and your voice is kinda stiff. But I think you’ve got what it takes to do well here.”

A big festival for the winter seemed to roll around, the same way it did for what happened in the summer. Which...coincidentally turned out to be perfect, since Akito knew Toya had experienced much less winter activities, than summer ones. 

( well. in general, his partner hadn’t done many “standard” activities most kids did in the winter, so both of these festivals were great. )

Apparently, there was some huge ice castle set up as a funhouse which...seemed like a waste of an ice castle to him, but whatever. It seemed like something Toya would enjoy - a large structure of ice, plenty of things to do inside, and...

Yeah, as much as he hated to admit it, he figured Toya missed Tsukasa a lot. Funhouse seemed to fall right in line with something that annoying senpai of theirs liked, which meant Toya would probably like it too. Maybe it’d open up him talking about him.

He could...put up with that for a little bit, if it made Toya feel better about being here. But for now...?

              “ huh ? ”

              it seems toya had been otherwise occupied looking at the flowers that had started to sprout … well everywhere. he liked it .. it felt straight out of a book he had once read. the only thing that snapped him out of his thoughts was akito calling for him. blinking, he looks up, his head tilting a bit. 

            “ sorry. aren’t these flowers weird…? they are everywhere. are they an invasive species…? ”

“Probably something like a weed, yeah.”

Akito rubbed the back of his neck lightly and glanced around the area they were in, eyes scanning carefully over all the flowers surrounding them. It was...weed. There were weeds and invasive species that moved fast, but overnight? No way that existed outside of books and movies.

Though with this...something felt...off? He couldn’t pinpoint exactly why - was it the flowers or...did he just feel off himself? Either way, it was probably a good idea to keep Toya away from them.

“Hey, lets...go. Something about them feels weird and I don’t like it.”
