Who should get certified?
The Cloud Security Professional Certification was introduced in April 2015 and has been designed for individuals who wish to advance their careers in the field of IT security. This course acts as a complementation to the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Cloud Security Knowledge (CSK) courses. This certificate is beneficial for professionals such as security architect, systems architect, systems engineer and security consultant.
Requirements
To be eligible for this certification, one needs have at least one year experience in one of the six domains of the certification along with three years of experience in information security and five years’ experience in information technology. Alternatively if one holds the CISSP certification of ISC2, he/she is eligible for the above mentioned certification.
Cloud Security Professional Certification Curriculum
The examination covers domains that are relevant to cloud computing security. This involves six domains. The weightage for each domain in the examination is as mentioned in the brackets.
Domain 1 : Security and Risk Management of Cloud Data (19%)
Domain 2 : Security Architecture and Design (20%)
Domain 3 : Security Operations (19%)
Domain 4 : Network Infrastructure Security (15%)
Domain 5 : Application Security (15%)
Domain 6 : Â Legal and Compliance (12%)
About the Cloud Security Professional Certification Exam
The registration for exams can be done through the Pearson VUE website. This certification has been accredited by the ANSI. The fees for this exam are around $539. The exams are conducted all over the world at Pearson VUE centers.
Exam Pattern Cloud Security Professional Certification
The pattern for the certification exam includes 125 multiple choice questions. The time limit is of 4 hours. To successfully clear the exam one needs to score a minimum of 700 on 1000 points.
Post Certification
In order to maintain the Cloud Security Professional Certification one requires to score a minimum of 90 credits in the Continuing Professional Education course. A certified individual also needs to abide by the code of ethics prescribed by ISC2. They need to also pay an annual maintenance fee. Â
