One Thousand Stars and You by Isabelle Brown
Alice is about to turn 30 and wants to do one more exciting adventure before setting down with her university sweetheart, Richard. With an accident that happened when she was younger, she is adamant that her happiness comes second before everyone else's.
Alice and her friends, Steph and Maureen, take a holiday to Sri Lanka and meet two lads called Max and Jamal, who themselves are going through an emotional journey too.
Following Alice's journey, you get to experience Sri Lanka for yourself and what it offers (even if you've never been, like me). Every inch of detail is not missed, and could be a potential to add on your bucket list.
With these friendships colliding and sight-seeing together, Alice and Max get closer and ignite a spark they have between them.
Writing from both viewpoints, gave this a magical touch, and I couldn't put the book down when they were in their bubble. I got excited on every chapter and waiting anxiously for the time to express how they felt about each other.
It's a tale of finding yourself and discovering there is an adventure out there.
