Patchwork jeans v2
Decided I hated the patterned fabric patches on my original patchwork jeans (too big and too busy) so I took them apart and replaced them with smaller, less contrasting fabric patches (Japanese bunnies)!
I also took in the waist and added the pockets I was too scared to attempt originally, then ended up having to alter said pockets to make them look and feel better (they were too low and stuck out too much on the first attempt). I ALSO ended up having to make the legs longer as a result of all the other alterations but overall I am much happier with them now! âşď¸
I may still live to regret the raw seams on the patchwork but câest la vie! đ

Mushroom Guy pattern by Critter Stitch
The original Mushroom Guy crochet pattern. A detailed, beginner-friendly, step-by-step guide on how to crochet your own mushroom friend.
Bought a Scary New Toy and used it to help me make some Ridiculous Trousers. I did not add pockets as this was my first time making trousers, and the thought of getting to grips with pockets was simply Too Much For Me. Maybe next time! đ
(I followed a pattern for the trousers, and I made the patchwork by stitching together lots of spare denim offcuts with a few splashes of paisley print fabric).
Edit because I forgot to add the pattern link: https://helensclosetpatterns.com/blogs/helens-closet/hippie-patchwork-june-pants
Summer is here! These are my hippie June Pants and Iâm so stoked to share this patchwork pants tutorial with you!
Seven turtles for seven cousins. Crochet gifts for children on a recent family holiday / meet-up / reunion. Pattern by pattern4craft on Etsy. Quick and easy no-sew pattern. I embroidered the eyes using black thread instead of using safety eyes.

Momotchi (Tamagotchi) doll for my 8 year old daughter. She recently got a Tamagotchi and quickly became very attached to her Momotchi. She sent it on a date and proposed, not realising it would send Momotchi away and leave her with a new Tamagotchi to raise. She was so sad! She asked me if I could make her a Momotchi doll to replace her âlostâ pet and of course I said yes. Based on a chubby bunny crochet pattern by Maiacraft, I also added a crochet bow which my daughterâs Momotchi wore.
Akita Neru crochet doll for my vocaloid-obsessed daughterâs 13th birthday. Adapted from a Hatsune Miku pattern by Additoysshop on Etsy.
I hate when people ask me how long it took me to crochet something Iâve made. Frankly, thatâs none of my business. I put the yarn on the hook and worked on it whenever the spirit happened to take me to and then one day it was done. How long that process took is between the yarn and god; I want no part of it.
Truly I hate to do this to you all but; you can watch all the videos and read all the blogs in the world but you cannot learn to sew without at some point picking up a piece of fabric and fucking it up. No tutorial exists that will stop you at some point ruining this poor piece of cloth. The visceral act of holding a project and wondering where you went wrong is the only way to learn sewing; you cannot escape it. Iâm sorry
Me, about to fuck up some fabric for the umpteenth time đŞ
Update: it went better than expected đââď¸
The problem with sewing is that you quickly realise you have dumped lots of skill points into control thread and furthermore, thereâs a lot of other hobbies that require control thread so you decide to pick up knitting, or crochet, or weaving, and then spinning happens to you, or rug making, or cord weaving, and then you turn the wrong corner on the internet and find out control thread also specs into basket weaving, and book binding, and then youâre thinking things like âI wonder if this also applies to lead climbingâ and now you have A Problem
