Inspired by traveling, architecture, seasonal fashion, and Nature, Austrian Alps based artist Rachel Katstaller’s illustrations center around strong female figures and playful bold colors. With upcoming various book projects, including her first children’s book, Rachel balances her work and life with skateboarding, travel, as well as volunteering at her local animal shelter. We find out more about Rachel’s artistic process, her art school tip, and about some of her upcoming projects in 2018 – including her first board graphic!

It's been a while since I posted anything over here, or talked at all about what I have been up to. What a crazy couple of months these have been, since I decided to move to another continent somehow everything started to get into motion and happen way too quick.

My first exhibition in Europe has come and gone and now I'm slowly getting back into working at a new studio, setting up a new schedule and trying to figure out all of this "living far away from home" thing.

We'll see how it goes, I'm excited about all that is to come. Xo, R

These first days of the year have been dedicated to some silent introspection, writing down thoughts and expectations, discovering new parts of myself and planning the year ahead.
