making references to Other Things is one of my favorite pastimes

Because the dev team behind the mod literally stressed so many times they didn’t want the mod to be romanticized or glorified and were taking it as seriously as possible. A small part of the fandom just, kind of spiraled it out of control by tagging the actual dementia hashtag, and made it seem like it was the entire fandom’s fault when really it was only a tiny percent. It wasn’t even on Twitter it was on INSTAGRAM. A WHOLE DIFFERENT SITE. AND THE TWEETS MADE IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS THE WHOLE FANDOM’S FAULT. Those people who tagged the dementia hashtag should still be held accountable of course, but blaming it on the entire FNF is just completely unfair. Many peoples’ first impression of the EATEOF mod were those negative Twitter posts and now would never hear out the actual intentions of the original mod makers. It’s so tragically sad, especially since the creator who made the mod created it as a homage to the original Everywhere At The End Of Time album, not to goddamn glorify/romanticize having dementia. They’ve been very inactive since the backlash they’ve been receiving. I can’t imagine all the stress the dev team for the EATEOF mod must be feeling right now. No human being is built to handle that amount of pressure and massive negative attention on such short notice, and I can’t imagine what it must be like on their mental health.

I want to start off by saying that she is a canon trans woman, by Word of God. And you want to know why that's great? Because they didn't have to do a whole spiel about how she has to talk about it.

Plus, if you pay attention to her dialogue, she is a pan trans woman, at that. And I wish I could remember most of it, because the way they wrote her character is just so...amazing? One of her idle dialogues talks about how she climbed to the top with the man she loved, but when they fell, she was the only one to rise again. And during the valentines event, she talks about how she doesn't care about build or physique, she only looks for those who "sing a song that only I can hear".

And, and? She helps people who struggle. Their entire colony is a debt internment camp. They get a debt because they have to get grafted to do their job, so they have to work in this colony to pay off their debt. And to pay off that debt, they need to go deeper into debt to pay for more grafts. When they have kids, their kids inherit their parents debt. It's an impossible cycle.

But then here comes Ticker, asking for help from the Tenno. She knows their kind, knows that they are kids themselves. They can get their hands on more resources in a day than these people can in a few months. So what she does is asks for donations from the Tenno to help pay off people's debts so they can finally be free of the internment camp.

And if you can't or simply don't? She doesn't guilt you. She's one of the only ones that doesn't guilt or otherwise harass you. She just says that even if you can't help, there will be a way to help save them regardless. Because she isn't just one of those "I talk about love for lovers, friends, and family for the sake of an event" characters. She actually lives up to it and does everything she can to help everyone she can, and that includes everyone we know from Fortuna.
