I want you to put yourself in somebody else's shoes and imagine how you, as someone who isn't on the internet 24/7, would react to a person admitting on an internet forum that they like seeing characters being mutilated.

It isn't always "oh maybe this guy appreciates the practical effects", there are people out there that Will label you as a psychopath for it. In their eyes, noone in their right mind likes seeing guts hanging out of a person's body, fictional or not.

To this very day people are still asking online if they're sick for even enjoying such content.

Many pedophiles and predatory men have used Lolita as a justification for preying upon young girls, even though the point of the entire book is about how manipulative and horrible the POV character is.

Does that mean the book itself should be banned? Because they have read it? That they used it to groom? Is it the author's fault that disgusting individuals have taken his work and used it to their advantage?

This can be applied to any piece of media with taboo subject manner really, no matter if they treat it seriously or are writing out gothic fantasy incest, humans love to write messed up shit all the time, why do you think torture scenes in horror films exist? Search up films like August Underground, Human Centipede, any film in that category and you'll see what I mean!

My point is, anyone can use your work for horrible acts or even use it as inspiration to perform terrible things. Anyone can label it as obscene even if the subject manner is handled tactfully with the utmost seriousness, because of the subject matter at hand.
