I have a headcanon that MK's shirt can change by itself.

The black circle is his actual self; his physical form, his body.

The red circle is his soul, his "chi", what makes him active, alert, and most importantly what stores his powers and abilities. Yes it's in the shape of the stone egg

I'd like to think that after Macaque rips his power out of his body, the shirt will change into just a black circle, and MK will become extremely weak and tired.
